  • Impressive Location

"We spent 3 weeks at the property and loved the location. The view from the porch is top notch and the pool is a nice treat - larger than expected. The pictures of the property are right on the money. The front view is misleading only in the sense that it doesn't provide a good indication of how large the house actually is. House has a nice layout, furniture that is in good shape, and there are plenty of seating options. Saw Dolphins pretty much every day, with one in particular that liked to do runs down the seawall creating lots of waves. There is boat rental place not too far from the house (easily walkable) that was good to work with. My son and I were able to pick up the boat and then dock it at the house to pick up the rest of the group. We had a great day on Estero Bay watching the wildlife and eating lunch at Flippers. The house was clean and the caretaker was very helpful. I would certainly recommend the house to friends and relatives. In fact, we had relatives down for the third week and they loved it. Our grandson (11) really enjoyed the pool and all the activities in the area. There are many good restaurants not far from the house (e.g. Flippers, Fresh Catch Bistro, South Beach, Table Apart, and the Bayfront Bistro, among others). Lots to do in the area (e.g. boating, fishing, wildlife preserves, swimming, beaches, of course, and theater)."

  • BEST place to stay.

"If you are looking for a nice, quiet, affordable, and exquisitely clean place to stay, this is the right place for you. We've stayed here for the past three years. Each time the experience has been way above par. Two clean and spacious rooms, each with its own bathroom. All the necessities to enjoy the beach and a convenient cart to carry them in. ALL you need to bring are some clothes and sun screen. The duplex is fully loaded with everything else. If you like to cook in, the kitchen is clean and well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, cups, etc. Just bring your food and away you go. Did I mention it was a quiet and clean place? Yes, those things are extremely important to me and I found it here. I'd love to write something negative to keep others away, but that would not be fair to your host Candice. This is truly a great place to vacation. Enjoy your visit and get ready to give it 5 stars."

  • 3 generation vacation

"Just returned from a week at Paradise Retreat with family spanning 3 generations. weather was not fully cooperative but having the amenities and location of this home saved the day. Everything in the home was perfect and my grandchildren could not get enough of the pool and playing in the safety of the fenced in back yard. quiet residential neighborhood great for morning stroll. Barefoot Beach is 5 minutes away and they got to know me on a first name basis at the Publix grocery store that meets all your needs and is two minutes from the house. Home is extremely well prepared for quests from kitchen supplies to pool towels and beach equipment including toys for small children, even more so following our departure."

  • Perfect for our family

"We had a great first stay here. The location was perfect. We saw manatees and dolphins nearly every morning. The house was a great beach house. We had 6 adults, a baby and a dog. Took the dog to dog beach most mornings. Having umbrellas and chairs at the house was an awesome benefit. Our grandson (11 months) loved the gentle waves and amazing sea birds. Kudos and thanks to the owner."
