  • Wonderful home in a quiet Captiva neighborhood

"We had such a wonderful time staying in this home! Our group consisted of 4 adults and 2 children, and we all loved this house. It was furnished very comfortably and had a very beachy feel, which we love. We cooked a lot of meals at home and found the kitchen had everything we needed. I loved having a washer and dryer in the house, as well as the outdoor shower for rinsing off sand and salt water. We usually stay on Sanibel, this was our first time staying on Captiva, and we could not have been more pleased with our experience. We spent a lot of time relaxing in my favorite spot, the large lanai, and my husband and son played catch in the grassy yard. The neighborhood has a very nice pool, tennis courts, gas grills, and a wonderful boardwalk to the ocean. The beach is a 2 minute walk from the house. The location could not be better-we walked to The Mucky Duck, RC Otters, and Cantina Captiva for several meals. We watched the sunsets nightly from the beach and saw more dolphins playing in the shallow surf on this trip than all my previous visits to the islands combined! We also had a great "front row" seat from the beach for Tween Waters Inn's annual firework show, which was amazing. We drove over to Sanibel for several meals (Sanibel Fish House is our absolute favorite) and shopping, and hiked the on Bailey Tract, where we normally catch a glimpse of an alligator. This time, however, a Florida bobcat walked right out onto the trail in front of us! Owner Ginny was very receptive and answered any questions promptly. We will definitely stay here again!"

  • Absolutely Beautiful!

"Wow! We just returned and we already can't wait for our return. Upon our arrival, the owner, Ruth, couldn't have made us feel any more welcomed! She was so hospitable and friendly as she told us all about her fabulous house. The house is beautiful, extremely clean, and very well maintained. Also, if you love to cook, she has everything in her kitchen that you could possibly need! The rooms are decorated beautifully and plush with very comfortable beds. You won't need to bring a thing: chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, coolers, beach wagon to tote everything in, etc! Also, the home has a great layout! The house is steps from the beach and also a short walk to the pool. The island itself is breathtaking and anywhere you want to go is walking distance. Or, you can also rent a golf cart to ride around in. There is a place on the island that you can rent from and it is reasonably priced. If you plan on doing that, be sure to reserve a cart before you depart because they go fast. We will definitely be returning! Thank you Ruth for renting out your beautiful beach home to us! We had the BEST time! xo -Jennifer"

  • Great Place for a Quite & Relaxation Vacation

"This condo is clean and had every thing we needed. We cooked our own breakfast and lunches and ate dinner at the local restaurants. The kitchen has everything we needed. For dinner, there are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. The beach and pool are a very short (like two minute) walk from the condo. Either are great places to relax and/or get a tan. The beach is not over crowded like many are during Spring Break. The owner provided three chairs and umbrellas for the beach. This is a wonderful spot for sunsets, either on the beach or from screened in deck on the condo. Our kids (two young adults) slept on the sofa sleep, and while cozy, were fine with it. The screened in deck was a great place to relax if you do not want to go to the pool/beach. The owner and management company are extremely easy to work with and the owner's recommendations were wonderful and appreciated. You cannot go wrong staying here."

  • PERFECT!!!

"I can't say enough about this vacation home! It was absolutely perfect for our family... My boys love to fish and the private dock on the bay was awesome! They kept track, and between 4 fishermen they caught 162 fish in a week! A manatee and a dolphin also came right up to the dock while we were fishing! The walk to the beach is a short easy one. The trail is flat and well shaded. The owners provide everything you need at the beach, including chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, a cooler, and a wagon to transport it all in. The beach was never crowded at all. There were times that it felt like we had the place to ourselves! The house is as pictured. It has a large open living area, huge master suite, screened in porch, and the kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need. The private pool is great, it's shaded during most of the day providing a nice place to cool off. The owners were out of town the week that we were there but they called and checked on us a couple of times and had someone available to assist us if we had needed anything... We didn't. Everything was perfect! The only negative I can mention is that the mosquitos are bad. This of course is a problem all over the island, not just this property. Overall we were more than pleased. I would highly recommend this property and hope to go back some day. Thanks Rene and Margarethe for a wonderful vacation!"
