  • Most relaxing vacation in a long while....

"I had a wonderfully relaxing week with my 4 kids in this lovely home. The house is wonderfully decorated. The kitchen & laundry were the best stocked I've ever had in a VRBO rental. We used the beach, pool, & tennis courts and all were fantastic. I hope to return!"

  • A Bit of Paradise

"My wife and I went to Captiva for a last-minute getaway and we were lucky that the Island House was still available. The owner and rental agency were extremely nice and accommodating. This charming house is in a perfect location and we absolutely loved staying there. You will find everything you need for relaxation in the house and you will find everything you need for entertainment mere foot steps away. Leave the car in the driveway and take a stroll to the beach or to Doc Ford's or any of the awesome restaurants in village. Captiva in general and the Island House in particular are truly bits of paradise. We highly recommend you go there and decompress the way we did. We can't wait to go back. Niels"

  • Great Place for a Quite & Relaxation Vacation

"This condo is clean and had every thing we needed. We cooked our own breakfast and lunches and ate dinner at the local restaurants. The kitchen has everything we needed. For dinner, there are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. The beach and pool are a very short (like two minute) walk from the condo. Either are great places to relax and/or get a tan. The beach is not over crowded like many are during Spring Break. The owner provided three chairs and umbrellas for the beach. This is a wonderful spot for sunsets, either on the beach or from screened in deck on the condo. Our kids (two young adults) slept on the sofa sleep, and while cozy, were fine with it. The screened in deck was a great place to relax if you do not want to go to the pool/beach. The owner and management company are extremely easy to work with and the owner's recommendations were wonderful and appreciated. You cannot go wrong staying here."

  • Captiva is Always Captivating

"Our stay in March 2016 started with a few bumps but ended up being the perfect week in paradise. South Seas is such a nice and relaxing place to stay and looking out over the small marina and Pine Island Sound was so picturesque. The weather was perfect. The condo was really perfect for us except for a few easy areas for improvement. The pots, pans and dishes are quite sparse. Make sure to buy or bring ground coffee as there is no coffee grinder. Our biggest issue was that there are no closets to hang our clothes except for one very small utility closet that was filled with paint cans, toilet plunger, broom, etc. We quickly discovered however, aside from clothing spread out over chairs, that next time we could simply pack much lighter with folding clothes instead of hanging clothes. There is plenty of room for an armoire in the main room and another in the bedroom and it would be very nice and accommodating if they would add this to the furnishings. I've frankly never stayed in a place that didn't have a place to hang up clothes. Other than that our trip was near perfection in every way. We love Captiva and Sanibel and can not wait to return!"
