  • Perfect Week!

"We spent a wonderful week in this lovely home. The home was very clean and well maintained. The house was well suited for our needs and very comfortable for our family of six. It had everything you needed including a well stocked kitchen, plenty of linens and towels, and even beach towels, chairs and umbrellas, not to mention your own pool - a true luxury! The house is located conveniently near the beach and also close to grocery shops and restaurants. We enjoyed early morning walks every day in the friendly neighborhood. In a word, it was perfect! We look forward to returning again and again in the future."

  • Great choice of a vacation rental

"From the moment we pulled into the driveway we were immediately blown away - this house is absolutely beautiful! It was very clean, all amenities were basically covered for us, only thing we had to provide was the food and drink. As soon as you enter through the gigantic set of teak front doors your eyes are immediately drawn to the stunning views of the gulf through all the doors/windows along the rear of the house. Attention was definitely paid to details with this property - from the open floor plan to the in-house elevator to the massive master bedroom suite. The house has 5 bedrooms (4 with king beds, 1 with 2 twins and fold-out couches). There is also a sitting area outside one of the bedrooms that contains another fold-out couch. There are also 5 full baths (2 of which are in the master suite) and 2 half baths. TV's are provided in every bedroom as well as the media room, with AppleTV (Netflix, Hulu) with each. Waking up in the morning in the master suite is something that words cannot describe - the view off the foot of the bed is wall-to-wall gulf and palm trees. The kitchen is quite large, with pairs of everything - dishwashers, ovens, sinks and refridgerators. There is a screened porch directly off the kitchen, in addition to a large rear patio with furniture and palm trees next to the pool. The pool itself it nice although unfortunately one panel of the screen covering was missing from a storm prior to our arrival and as a result the pool was dirty on a daily basis with bugs and sand. The owner's were very responsive and were working to secure a new pool person while we were there although the pool was never cleaned once during our stay. There are several large sheds next to the pool containing umbrellas, chairs and toys for the beach. The beach itself is awesome, with a large amount of private space and a gorgeous view - we literally saw maybe a dozen people a day walking along the beach but that was it. Venice itself is about a 15-20 min drive, and Englewood about 15 mins south. There are some restaurants and stores within a 15 minute drive but it's not overly commercialized - in fact it appears that the Venice/Englewood/North Port areas are all suffering from economic downturn with significant amounts of vacant stores. All in all we had an outstanding time and would definitely come back, not to mention recommending this property to everyone we know who would be interested."

  • Wonderful place!

"It was great! Very clean and beautiful. Just across the road from a beautiful beach! Tom was very nice and helpful with my questions since I was a VRBO newbie. Great location near Stump Pass Beach Park."

  • What a place.

"Jerry, Wendy and Jo, the owner,s are three fantastic wonderful people. They really care about your comfort and well being. This little resort is a hidden gem in SW Florida. It comprises of 5 two sided bungalow's with all the modern commodities you could ask for. The units are clean, modern, very well decorated and appointed with all the comforts of home. It is quiet and off the beaten path which makes it quite nice. But yet it is close enough to the main route that has all your shopping, banking and social needs. They are still improving the facility, although it doesn't look like it needs improving, it looks pretty good already. There are no wasted steps with the owners, they work all day, yet stop to talk to you and pick up fallen leaves at the same time. They are amazing people who treat you like family not customers. They have bicycles and wagons that can be used by guests for trips to downtown Englewood, a quaint little town with a downtown section and a Farmer's Market every Thursday. Lemon Bay park is a short walk from the complex and a round trip walk according to my iphone was just short of 4 miles. But nature was everywhere, fish, water birds, eagles, tortoise and armadillos to name a few. There is not enough space to describe how this is by far the best place I have traveled to in a long time if not in my life time. I would not hesitate to return to this retreat in the future. Ed"
