  • Great Rental -- Great Location!!

"My husband and I were extremely happy with this condo; it was perfect for the two of us! The condo looked even cuter in person than it does in the pictures provided here. The location on Sanibel Island was perfect. The beach near the condo seemed a little calmer than other spots further down the island (not that any part of the beach in Sanibel is overcrowded). My husband and I really appreciated that the owners provided beach chairs, toys, and an umbrella, too! The unit was very clean and well-stocked with kitchen supplies in case you are in the mood to cook while you are there. We did not take advantage of the pool or grills, but everything on the property seemed nice and well kept. The owners were great to work with, too. They responded very quickly to questions and were extremely helpful. We would definitely stay here again! :) As far as recommendations while you are on the island, our favorite place to eat was the Island Cow. We loved it! The shell museum was really interesting, too, and we also recommend renting kayaks through the Tarpon Bay Explorers (in the morning if you want to see fish jumping out of the water like crazy) if you are in the mood to get out and do something other than relax on the beach."

  • Great Family Vacation Home

"I rented this home for our family vacation for one week and it was the perfect setup for us as we had 3 couples and 3 toddlers so each couple had their own bedroom & the 2 older children had own bedroom right next to parents. They all loved the pool and the surrounding area was a very nice neighborhood for taking walks and bike rides. Close to beaches and downtown - very clean and kitchen had everything needed for making meals. Would recommend and would personally rent again. Owners very personable and accomodating."

  • Wonderful home in a quiet Captiva neighborhood

"We had such a wonderful time staying in this home! Our group consisted of 4 adults and 2 children, and we all loved this house. It was furnished very comfortably and had a very beachy feel, which we love. We cooked a lot of meals at home and found the kitchen had everything we needed. I loved having a washer and dryer in the house, as well as the outdoor shower for rinsing off sand and salt water. We usually stay on Sanibel, this was our first time staying on Captiva, and we could not have been more pleased with our experience. We spent a lot of time relaxing in my favorite spot, the large lanai, and my husband and son played catch in the grassy yard. The neighborhood has a very nice pool, tennis courts, gas grills, and a wonderful boardwalk to the ocean. The beach is a 2 minute walk from the house. The location could not be better-we walked to The Mucky Duck, RC Otters, and Cantina Captiva for several meals. We watched the sunsets nightly from the beach and saw more dolphins playing in the shallow surf on this trip than all my previous visits to the islands combined! We also had a great "front row" seat from the beach for Tween Waters Inn's annual firework show, which was amazing. We drove over to Sanibel for several meals (Sanibel Fish House is our absolute favorite) and shopping, and hiked the on Bailey Tract, where we normally catch a glimpse of an alligator. This time, however, a Florida bobcat walked right out onto the trail in front of us! Owner Ginny was very receptive and answered any questions promptly. We will definitely stay here again!"

  • Any closer and you'd be ON the beach.

"We had a great month in this quaint house. It's so close to the beach we'd walk across the road in our bare feet and right onto the sand, and easily walk to the great shops and restaurants on Bridge St. AMI being so popular, there's always plenty of slow-moving traffic right outside your door, especially late afternoon, although we were there at the busiest possible time, March Break. The few minor repairs that needed doing while we were there were handled quickly and pleasantly. This being an older house, there was some noise from the upstairs neighbors -- best if you can rent the entire house. Overall a very pleasant experience. Also thanks, Martin, for welcoming our black lab, Maggie! Paul J."
