  • Perfect Getaway

"Very nicely furnished and equipped with everything you need and then some. Loved the view from the balcony, and the pull-down shades for the late afternoon when the direct sun needed to be blocked for a little bit. Enjoyed that Smuggler's Cove provided lounge chairs for the grass area, and that Steve had beach chairs and an umbrella if we wanted to sit on the sandy beach and a cooler to use. Beach area very clean. Patrols drove by regularly. Water is shallow and no undertow. (No waves to speak of either) Several people fished while on the shore or while standing in the water. The building has 4 gas grills available and cleaning brushes available. People did a good job cleaning off the grills as they used them. If the condo had any grilling tools, I couldn't find them. (But I would not expect them) When we return sometime, I will pack a metal spatula or tongs. We could have bought some at Publix, but decided eating out was easier anyway! Charley's (when you head south) has a good prime rib and an exceptional salad bar. Publix is an easy walk, and the trolly stop is very nearby if you don't want to use a car. We also ventured over to Sanibel Island (toll is $6.00 to cross the bridge) and drove all the way across on to Captiva Island to eat at the Bubble Room. Unique atmosphere and this was our favorite meal for the whole trip. Also ventured into Fort Myers to the Edison and Ford Winter Estates. That was an enjoyable tour which included a museum, Edison's lab, and botanical gardens."

  • Awesome Location w/ Great Views

"The condo was in a great location w/ awesome views. The location is convenient to trek to Lovers Key State Park, which we were able to enjoy numerous times as it is simply steps away from property. The location is ideal to continue on to Fort Myers Beach, or Sanibel Island or to go back to Fort Myers or Naples. The grounds are nicely maintained, pool looked great (we couldn't utilize as it was during a "cold spell" in FLA) and most everyone we ran into were genuinely friendly. The owner was terrific with communicating and ensuring we had all the information we would need to ensure we had access to property, parking etc. Additionally, he went above and beyond making recommendations for where to eat and things to do; all were spot on. Unit is great for making breakfast in morning and kitchen is stocked w/ everything you'd need to get by. Again, the main selling points are the views and balcony at the unit! I'd rate 5 star, but some minor things were missing and that is probably only because it is a rental unit mostly; towel rack in shower on back of door is hanging off door and unusable and where as someone else indicated bed to be comfortable, we found not to be exactly the case. Lastly, and this is somewhat nit picky, the building is older than those surrounding, and it could use some updating; but again that is someone nit picky and not indicative of the overall experience. Again, I must say that the service provided by the owner goes ABOVE and BEYOND what you get from many other VRBO owners. BUT AGAIN we definitely would return regardless of the minor flaws, so that is truly the best review and endorsement."

  • Great location, owners are amazingly easy to work with.

"We checked in on Monday the 26th, we had two families in our group to total 4 adults 2 teens and 2 smaller kids. Upon arrival we had a few hiccups. The property management company failed to turn on the breaker for the hot water heater or the pool heater. After a few phone calls to the after hours phone number we were able to get everything straightened out. The fishing off the dock was a lot of fun. The husbands and kids enjoyed catching stingrays, pin fish, mangrove snapper, black drum, and sheepshead. The pool was nice but could have been a bit warmer. The kitchen is stocked with your basic needs, could use a casserole dish or two. Overall we had a great getaway!"
