  • Lovely, comfortable stay

"Brother and sister with spouses here for vacation, visit, and relaxation. We could not have picked a lovelier spot. We enjoyed boating (saw loggerhead turtles and tons of dolphin), fishing off pier (caught mangrove snapper), floating in pool, and visiting little local restaurants and shops. The condo met and exceeded expectations. It is decorated so cute, has everything you could need from coffee maker and dishes/pots, local info, to games and even a pool noodle. And more importantly, it was very clean. The furnishings are very comforable. All slept well and especially enjoyed the patios with the great views, morning and night. Thanks to the owners for sharing their lovely home away from home."

  • Great Location and Perfect for our Family

"We were in town for a baseball tournament and the home was perfect. It was clean and had everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable. Elizabeth was great to work with and made sure that our stay was perfect. The neighborhood was in a great location, with access to an awesome walking trail, well kept pool and short walk to pier with an amazing sunset view. We had 4 adults and 2 children (12 & 6yr old) and we had plenty of room. The extra 1/2 bath downstairs is a nice plus as well when traveling with multiple families and/or children. I would highly recommend this home."

  • Wonderful Cottage

"My mother and I visited Sanibel Island for the first time. We found "Driftwood Inn" cottage to be quite charming. Bridget was extremely helpful from the first contact until our departure. We arrived on Friday afternoon, and found the cottage easily. The locks on the door were electronic (handy and convenient), so we did not have to keep up with a key to the house. It was very clean and tidy. There were extra towels, wash clothes, and blankets. Outside on the screened in lanai, comfortable table and chairs. A beach wagon, umbrella, and chairs were provided. There were also "scoopers" to use to look for shells! We did call the property manager for a new umbrella, because the one there was broken. The property manager brought one to us the next day. We are so thankful for the umbrella! The bathrooms were clean and orderly. The floor is made of tile, so it stays cool. AC throughout the cottage, making it heavenly when you come in from the beach. We did use the laundry facilities out back. The detergent was provided. We didn't have time to use the grills or outdoor furniture, but they were convenient to the house. The kitchen is perfect! There were plenty of dishes, detergent, and pans to use for cooking. Coffee pot, toaster, and microwave were all working. There wasn't a supply of simple condiments (salt, pepper, etc), but we managed without it for a few days. The oven cooked a little warmer than the temperature it was set to, but we figured that out after our first round of extra crispy cookies. TV was small, but we didn't come to watch the TV. Overall, I would recommend this cottage (#1) to anyone looking to come to the island for a nice stay! The walk to the beach is less than 2 blocks. Most of it is shaded by the trees, and of course flat and paved. The wagon was such a big help, so that we didn't have to carry anything. The "deeded" becah was nice, because there were not a lot of people around the area we were staying. I would recommend renting bikes to travel the island. We did drive around the island, but the bikes were way more fun. Thank you Bridget for letting us use your cottage! We are looking forward to coming back to Sanibel Island soon!"
