  • Christmas on Manasota Key! Old Florida style lodging steps from the Gulf

"We stayed in an efficiency unit that had all the necessities needed for our 6 night stay. Love seat and recliner added to the comfort in the unit. Unit was very clean upon arrival and dishes/cookware were better than many places we have stayed. Nice courtyard, nice pool, boat slips right outside our door. Very short walk to the Gulf of Mexico. Pricing was very reasonable and we would definitely stay at this property again."

  • Beautiful sunsets to end your day

"Dean--enjoyed every second of our stay at your place. Very clean, totally updated. We didn't need for a thing. Enjoyed our own deck for coffee in the morning and cocktails at the end of the day. The view of the gulf from our room was spectacular. Hope to see you again soon. Lynn"

  • Fabulous holiday

"Traveled here from the UK with my wife and 16 year old twins for a 2 week break. We felt at home as soon as the door opened. This is a beautiful property in a quiet residential area, superbly maintained with all the home comforts you could want including netted pool, outdoor seating and dining, high speed wireless, cable, fully equipped kitchen and outdoor barbecue. The fixtures and fittings are of the highest standard: There are 4 well proportioned and very comfortable bedrooms with enough space for 8 people to sleep plus 2 bathrooms. The sumptuous leather couches in the open plan lounge area add to the relaxed feel of the property. There are plenty of things to do and see within striking distance by car of the house including Mangrove tours, dolphin and manatee watching, sailing, fishing, shopping, restaurants, very beautiful beaches (Siesta Key, Fort Myers, Boca Grande and Stump Pass), museums (Ringling is fascinating as are the winter homes of Edison and Ford in Fort Myers). Mote aquarium in Sarasota is worth visiting and we spent quite some time in St Armands Circle which was built by the Ringling family in the shape of a circus ring. Venice is also a very pretty town and they had "Christmas in July" while we were there - not entirely convinced by Father Christmas in shorts and sunglasses but we joined in... Punta Gorda and the Fishermans' Village is a must as is a drink and food at the end of the pier at Harpoon Harry's. Finally, as a one-off, a visit and a meal at Sharky's on the Pier near Venice is a delight - if you can get there for a meal and stay for sunset it is a treat to behold. Plenty of retail "therapy" is available as well at Bradenton (Outlet Stores), Port Charlotte, Fort Myers and Sarasota (to name just 4). It is about 5 minutes from supermarkets (Publix and Walmart). I knew it would be good - but it was beyond expectation - we will be back..."
