  • Island Paradise

"We spent a week at this property and didn't know exactly what to expect, it turned out to be one of our favorite vacations, we will definitely be back!! No stores or restaurants on the island, we brought all our food/drinks with us on the water taxi (10 minute ride) from the mainland. Required clothing is minimal, bathing suits, shorts, perhaps one long sleeve and you're set! The house is very well stocked and comfortable. Good size kitchen, lovely deck and porch swing. There is great cell service, direct TV, but you won't need those much or at all. The beach is steps away, chairs, towels, umbrellas are provided. Washer and dryer further limit a need to pack much! The size of the island provided us with almost our own private beach each day, tons of wildlife, shelling, and the most incredible sunsets we had ever seen. Peacock Lane cottage is a winner on LGI, we are eagerly waiting to return!!"

  • Amazing place!

"One of the first rentals I've stayed in where the photos were as nice as the reality. Island Breeze was gorgeous and had quick access to both the beach and bay sides. We enjoyed the paddle boards and the beach cruisers and wished we were staying about two weeks longer."

  • The welcoming island.

"The weather was perfect, the island was perfect, the condo we stayed in was in great shape, comfortable and with no problems, and the golf cart was a wonderful way to explore the island. The ferry, and the ferry schedule was very convenient and took away some of the stresses we experienced in the past when staying in single houses. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a place to really get away."

  • Clean & Comfortable

"My family of 4 had a fantastic stay on LGI! We weren't sure how we'd like having to plan around the ferry schedule, but it ended up being fine. The ferry was run efficiently and most of the passengers seemed to be regulars with good insights they are happy to share. The proximity of the condo to the ferry is very convenient. My husband took his coffee every morning to the dock and sat and watched the fish jump and the dolphins swim by. The condo was spotless and well maintained. Beds were comfortable and bedding and towels were nice. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. I did use a big pot for making a salad because I couldn't locate a big enough bowl, so even though we got by without it (or I just overlooked it), a big, over-sized bowl would be a nice addition. We brought a few bags of ice but really didn't need them because the ice machine in the freezer worked great. The bathrooms each had a small basket with often forgotten travel toiletries, which was very nice. LOVED having the washer/dryer in the nice to be able to dry beach towels and wash clothes. Bring charcoal if you are planning to grill! The walk to the beach is about 5 minutes and not bad at all. We rented a golf cart for 2 of the days and it made carting the beach chairs and gear much nicer. If/when we go back, we'll definitely rent one again because it was fun to be able to tour the island. We all went for a run practically every day and each took different routes around the island on the "streets" and beach. The mornings were relatively cool and the island paths are mostly shaded. There's a quaint chapel not far from the condo complex that apparently holds services on Sundays...our stay didn't include a Sunday morning so we didn't get to attend, but the building itself is charming. The unit is across from the pool and I never was bothered by the any noise in the complex, actually. There's a makeshift library in the pool area with a decent selection, as well as magazines and videos (VHS). I'm not sure what the borrowing rules are, but I took a book for the drive home and left one that I read during our stay in its place. There are 6 or 7 beach towels that weren't fabulous, but they worked, and it saved us carting them down. I would recommend bringing your own beach chairs. They have 2 that are old, uncomfortable and heavy. I highly recommend not only LGI, but also this condo."
