  • Secluded island paradise

"John's place is awesome! Perfect getaway for any family. There is plenty of privacy if you want to come with another couple or keep the in-laws downstairs in the separate apartment. Upstairs has a king bedroom, a queen bedroom and a full bathroom. The house is stocked with towels and all of the kitchen essentials you could need. There is a nice screened in porch with a table for 4 and porch swing to relax on after a day at the beach. There are also toys for the kids and movies to watch. A bouncy seat and pack and play are available to use as well. You should rent John's golf cart at least for a day to explore the entire island but you can easily walk to the bay side and the beach because of it's great central location. Everyone on the island is super friendly and there are no cars to worry about. We felt totally safe setting the kids free on their own to walk to the docks to fish or to go walk on the beach to look for sharks teeth. The beach has beautiful sunsets and you are sure to see plenty of manatees and dolphins. John lives close by and can help with anything you may need. There is a water taxi service available ($) if you need to run to the grocery store or go explore someplace on the mainland but reservations are a must for this service. John brought us across on his boat much cheaper than the water taxi and he was a lot of fun! I'd recommend going with John if he is available. We will definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone. Thanks!"

  • Relaxing Paradise!

"My husband & I stayed at LGI in the Peacock Lane Cottage for a very relaxing vacation. Laura is wonderful in communication & accommodations. Our rescue dog joined us and loved walks on the beach- although the sand gets very hot mid day! The cottage is comfortable & well equipped- just bring your swim suit & food! There are many "extras" like beach chairs, umbrellas, fishing equipment & sandcastle building supplies. Afternoon outings on the golf cart touring the Island were enjoyable. We rented a kayak & SUP from Hooked on SUPs and they were very accommodating as well- with timely delivery and pick-up on the dock. We enjoyed sunrises on the dock and sunsets on the beach. We saw many fresh sea turtle tracks & nests in the morning along with dolphins on both the bay & ocean sides. This is the best place for a "laid back" relaxing vacation!"

  • Great stay

"We loved our stay here. The house was perfect for the 6 of us. Cozy and comfy. We enjoyed sitting on the porches. We spent time in canoe and kayaking. We fished off the dock and enjoyed seeing the dolphins. We would definitely stay there again."

  • Fantastic location - lovely house

"We just got back from our trip to Little Gasparilla. First time to the island, but I'm sure not our last! So peaceful, slightly rustic, but close to civilization. Great fishing and beach combing. Great for family time. We brought our two dogs who had just as much fun. Cindy was great to work with - so accessible and accommodating. The house is very well stocked and furnished. Beds were very comfortable. Nice supply of beach toys and accessories so no need to bring your own. Another nice and unexpected touch was that she takes care to stock plenty of toiletry essentials and paper goods which is rare in my experience with other rentals, but very welcome in a location where everything must be brought in by boat. The house will sleep up to 8, but is really more comfortable for four as that is really all that the living room will comfortably seat. Also, be aware that because of the open design, noise travels a lot, particularly for those in the upstairs loft room. Not a criticism, because the inside of the home is lovely, but an important point if you have those in your party who might be early or much later to bed or wake! There is also a glass paned set of French doors to the loft bedroom, which does limit privacy a bit. We thought the location was just perfect - equal distance between the beach and the dock. We rented the two kayaks and had much fun with them, both from the beach and out back in the mangroves. I would not hesitate to stay here again, both on the island, and at the Dolphin Pass house. Thanks agsin, Stan and Cindy!"
