  • Clean & Comfortable

"My family of 4 had a fantastic stay on LGI! We weren't sure how we'd like having to plan around the ferry schedule, but it ended up being fine. The ferry was run efficiently and most of the passengers seemed to be regulars with good insights they are happy to share. The proximity of the condo to the ferry is very convenient. My husband took his coffee every morning to the dock and sat and watched the fish jump and the dolphins swim by. The condo was spotless and well maintained. Beds were comfortable and bedding and towels were nice. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. I did use a big pot for making a salad because I couldn't locate a big enough bowl, so even though we got by without it (or I just overlooked it), a big, over-sized bowl would be a nice addition. We brought a few bags of ice but really didn't need them because the ice machine in the freezer worked great. The bathrooms each had a small basket with often forgotten travel toiletries, which was very nice. LOVED having the washer/dryer in the nice to be able to dry beach towels and wash clothes. Bring charcoal if you are planning to grill! The walk to the beach is about 5 minutes and not bad at all. We rented a golf cart for 2 of the days and it made carting the beach chairs and gear much nicer. If/when we go back, we'll definitely rent one again because it was fun to be able to tour the island. We all went for a run practically every day and each took different routes around the island on the "streets" and beach. The mornings were relatively cool and the island paths are mostly shaded. There's a quaint chapel not far from the condo complex that apparently holds services on Sundays...our stay didn't include a Sunday morning so we didn't get to attend, but the building itself is charming. The unit is across from the pool and I never was bothered by the any noise in the complex, actually. There's a makeshift library in the pool area with a decent selection, as well as magazines and videos (VHS). I'm not sure what the borrowing rules are, but I took a book for the drive home and left one that I read during our stay in its place. There are 6 or 7 beach towels that weren't fabulous, but they worked, and it saved us carting them down. I would recommend bringing your own beach chairs. They have 2 that are old, uncomfortable and heavy. I highly recommend not only LGI, but also this condo."

  • Awesome vacation...we are already planning our next trip.

"I can't even begin to describe how much we loved Little Gasparilla Island. My family and I have already said that we want to make this a yearly trip. Everyone on the island was super nice and friendly. The condo unit itself was great. We can't wait to visit in the summer!"

  • Just what we were looking for.

"This is a great little house on the beach! We were looking for a stand alone cottage on the beach away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded high rise condos and we found this to be the perfect spot. The house is well equipped with a full kitchen, washer and dryer and a lot of the staples you need. The only thing I can think of that would have been nice is an ice maker. But hey your on an island roughing it. The house has a great screened in porch looking over the gulf and is a short walk to the private dock. We had no trouble finding the house with the dock well numbered and a sign on the house. We decided we didn't need the concierge as we had enough people to carry our bags and the golf cart for the big stuff. We rented a boat for the week so the dock was great. We were able to explore the area and took a trip to Cabbage Key for lunch. The rental managers were great to work with and quickly answered all the questions we had. We had a great time and plan on returning in the future."
