  • Quiet and Cozy Vacation

"I really like this cottage. It is exactly as listed. The one bedroom and one bathroom was perfect. The location is good. Very close to beach once I found the access. It is hidden a little (which is a good thing) so it took me a few minutes to find it. Close to restaurants and only a 5 mile easy drive to St Armand's Circle which is sometimes impossible to get to from the mainland. I would park at the edge of the circle and just wander around the stores. The cottage is clean and has everything you will need for a nice stay. I wish there was a crock pot. I left a small french press coffee maker. I can't think of one negative thing to say about my stay. Even during Hermine storm I have to say I slept right through it on the comfortable king size bed. I will be back for sure. Nancy"

  • LOVED this Quaint cottage!

"Husband & I needed a get away & this cottage was perfect! We had the BEST time!! Great location, close to grocery store, shopping, restaurants (some in walking distance). Upgraded, Clean, cozy, comfortable, well stocked kitchen! Look at photos, that's what you get & owner/management great communication. Just the right size for a couple!! Beach access very short walk across street with your own private path. Owners provide beach chairs, small /large coolers, towels etc. Although cottage is located just off main street, traffic noise was not a problem at all. Private, quiet, back yard with shower, table/chairs & loungers PLUS a hot tub which we enjoyed every evening for "wine time" Our highlight...We chartered a sailboat for a champagne sunset cruise after dinner at Mar Vista (btw...one of our fav restaurants) We love LBK & have visited many times over the past 20 yrs & always stayed at the high end resorts but we can't wait to return to this Gem. Highly recommend! Thanks!!!!!"

  • Longboat Key treasure

"This house turned out to be a lovely surprise. Just off the main road which runs down Longboat Key and easily identifiable, it had everything required to make our stay a success. We arrived from Tampa airport late, and Brian had waited to meet us for as long as he could. However, although he wasn't at the property, he had left the lights on, which made us feel very welcomed, and gave the house a cosy feel. The house was spotlessly clean , and incredibly well equipped. There was a large folder which told us everything that we needed to know about the running of the house, nearby facilities, and how to get to the beach and the great swimming pool (where my husband ploughed up and down nearly every morning doing his habitual 50 lengths!). We had invited guests to stay with us (a cousin and her husband flew in for a few days on the way back from Mexico, and our son stayed for a week from Canada). The house was well equipped with bed linen, which made it easy for us to change beds, and the laundry facilities were great. Harry's Continental Kitchen is close by and provides a great breakfast and dinner, plus a store for provisions. The Lazy Lobster is a stunning setting for dinner. The nearest large supermarket is Publix, a mere 15 minutes away by car. We made the most of our trip by segwaying, kayaking, hiring a boat, attending a BBQ and salsa party in Boca Grande, as well as the most stunning wedding, sitting on the beach watching the bird life and sunsets, visiting the Ringling Circus Museum, attending the Coquina Beach Sunday market, and the David Chihuly exhibition in St. Petersburg .... then we ran out of time. Thanks, Brian, for providing such a great base to operate from, and also for allowing us to stay in the house later than check out time as our flight was in the evening."

  • Castle in the Sky is the best rental on Longboat Key

"This is our second visit to Castle in the Sky at Longboat Key. Even though there were several years between visits the property still looks as good as it did in our original visit. The property is very large and has an open kitchen and large dining area and can easily accommodate 10 people comfortably. The location near the beach and shops is excellent and the owner is very nice and responsive. We fully recommend Castle in the Sky for a wonderful vacation on Longboat Key."
