  • Lovely Home in Longboat Key

"Nothing is better than getting out of winter weather and relaxing at upscale Longboat with family. Fortunately we stumbled upon this rental and were very glad we did. Let me first say that I was very appreciative that the owner, Phil was caring enough to inquire with his cleaning staff to see if they had found my mother's wedding ring and then mail it back to her at no cost in its original condition. He didn't have to do that and I don't think most rentals would even care to check. The home was very accommodating for the 6 of us; my husband and I and our teenage boys and my parents. It's one of the few places we have vacationed that seems to have enough to do for multi-generational families. Nearby was the beach for my kids, the pool and fishing pier for my father (80 yrs old) and golf and tennis for my husband. St Armand's circle was 10 minutes away and is a favorite of my mother and me for shopping and restaurants. We loved the Columbia Restaurant and I especially enjoyed Wyland Gallery for marine life art. The home is very relaxing and comfortable with open space to be together or four bedrooms if you need privacy. The bikes and beach gear came in handy for all of us. I wouldn't hesitate to return again and stay for two weeks if school schedule would allow it. Two thumbs up for castle-in-the-sky!"

  • LOVED this Quaint cottage!

"Husband & I needed a get away & this cottage was perfect! We had the BEST time!! Great location, close to grocery store, shopping, restaurants (some in walking distance). Upgraded, Clean, cozy, comfortable, well stocked kitchen! Look at photos, that's what you get & owner/management great communication. Just the right size for a couple!! Beach access very short walk across street with your own private path. Owners provide beach chairs, small /large coolers, towels etc. Although cottage is located just off main street, traffic noise was not a problem at all. Private, quiet, back yard with shower, table/chairs & loungers PLUS a hot tub which we enjoyed every evening for "wine time" Our highlight...We chartered a sailboat for a champagne sunset cruise after dinner at Mar Vista (btw...one of our fav restaurants) We love LBK & have visited many times over the past 20 yrs & always stayed at the high end resorts but we can't wait to return to this Gem. Highly recommend! Thanks!!!!!"

  • Property was clean and comfortable.

"The unit itself was spacious and well furnished. We liked having a garage attached to the property. Because the unit is on three levels you do get some exercise but also a nice view from the upper levels. We enjoyed having a pool and restaurant within walking distance of our rental. We found the pool area to be a great place to meet others or enjoy the sun and water. Beaches and other food places were a short distance away by car. MCampbell"

  • Great condo on Longboat Key

"We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. The description accurately describes the unit which was very clean and nicely decorated. The neighborhood was very quiet, which we prefer. If you're looking for proximity to nightlife, you might be disappointed. The location was perfect for us as we were visiting family located near St. Armand's Circle. We also liked the location for bicycling. We brought bicycles with us, but there is a bike shop a few blocks away with a nice selection of bikes. There were also two basic bikes in the garage that were available to use. We ate at restaurants both south near St Armand's Circle and also north towards Bradenton. We also cooked dinner in the kitchen a few nights. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans and dishes and there was a coffee pot and other appliances. My only complaint is that the unit was completely bare bones in terms of small items like hand soap, shampoo, salt, sugar, pepper, etc. This was the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. The owner was available for questions when they arose and responded quickly. We would recommend this place to friends and would stay again if we are in the area for a week, as that is the minimum stay required."
