  • Nice Condo, Pretty View

"What a great place to relax. Caught a couple fish from the dock out back. The place was very clean when we arrived, the setup was great for the 3 of us (could easily hold more). The condo is well decorated, nice comfortable couches etc. The walk to the beach was pretty easy, we just filled up the stroller and went down about a 5 min walk. Unfortunately our trip was cut short by a tropical storm, I could have stayed here a month. Heat and air, washing machine, dishwasher etc all worked fine. I drove around the area and found nothing like this, the wildlife out back was amazing, the pond and all the scenery made this place feel great. Plenty of huge birds, fish jumping out of the water, a few people paddle boarding and kayaking, a boat would easily have traveled in the water there as it was very deep in most parts. We will certainly be back. The people that own this were a treat to work with, they were attentive friendly people. The beach was very clean and large, it is separated by 2 fishing piers, then there is another busier beach just a short walk north (beer can island I think) which attracted a little younger crowd. We did not get to see the turtles but there were many nests on the beach. Just up the road across the bridge we found plenty of restaurants, if you are up for a short drive the Sandbar Restaurant (around 5 miles north) was very good."

  • Perfect!

"The property is certainly one of the premier vacation homes in the Longbeach Village which to my mind is the best location on LBK. The pool and the grounds where in great shape and the house is very roomy, comfortable and every room is extremely well appointed (btw, pools are hard to come by in this older neighborhood). Thank you Melissa for the extra touches and the help in seeing that our visit went smoothly (even texting about an on coming squall upon our arrival). A tiny glitch with the lock box but even that issue was resolved before we arrived. Loved it, thanks again, and we hope to return before too long! -Patrick Houston TX"

  • Clean, safe, relaxing

"We had a wonderful stay at Christopher and Sophie's condo at the Sea Horse. After a group of somewhat rowdy holiday guests left and Hurricane Hermine subsided, the resort and the ocean settled down into their naturally quiet states. The best part of our stay was being able to wander from ocean to pool to condo without much effort. We recommend bringing extra towels for the beach. Hotel staff has limited hours but are really helpful when they're there. Christopher's quick and clear communication made us feel super welcome."

  • An UNFORGETTABLE Vacation in a Tree House on an Island

"Our family spent a week on Jewfish Island and this will likely not soon be forgotten. On our way home we asked of all the amazing vacations we have taken around the world where would this rank and both our kids placed it first or second. We lived in the area previously prior to moving to the Carolina's. We knew a secluded island house, with limited television, intermittent wifi (only via your own connection) would be exactly what our family needed. Unplugging from the world around you to take in the beautiful Sarasota Bay, the Island life, nature and the simpler things was such a blessing. Dolphins, manatees, and an array of fish frolicked by the dock daily. We had use of a kayak and canoe which added to our adventure. We also rented a boat so we could cruise to dinner or lunch on occasion. Just outside this little tree house gem is an amazing dock which you must spend time on. The other side of the island boasts fun in the sun on the sandbar where boats like to hang out so you can enjoy people watching, floating, and it is a great place to find shells and sea life. Afterwards, you can walk back over to your nice secluded side and say ahh. Jordan the property manager is an absolutely top notch host. He goes out of his way when you arrive to help with your luggage and directions. Likewise, Patricia the homeowner is fantastic. Both ensure your stay will be unbelievable and you are happy while there. What I do recommend for future renters... I highly recommend renting a boat. The home does have 3 levels of a gorgeous floating staircase. So mommies that have young children keep this in mind. All bedrooms are open to enjoy the incredible views of the Sarasota Bay from the tree tops. Room dividers are available in the closets for privacy. We did not use them as it was AMAZING open. The home is in the TREES on a gorgeous ISLAND in FL! This is a positive. This also means there are some bugs. So make sure you bring your protection and if you open a slider or door sometimes one or two my fly in. It is to be expected. Wear shoes to your private beaches. Make sure to catch a sunrise and a sunset. You will never forget either. Be certain to enjoy the dock at night as well. Incredible what you will see in the water. The home is stocked with everything you will need. We will definitely be back if possible. We can't give enough praise. Jordan, Pat and Seashell Island Retreat (which we call the Island Treehouse) is in our hearts forever."
