  • Clean, cozy, and Great Beach Access

"Loved the place, quiet, cozy, with all you'd need for a few days or more. Nice upgrade on the appliances as well. The Gulf is just steps out of the large sliding door which offers a great view, even on the ground floor. I would definitely choose to stay here again!"

  • Lovely Home in Longboat Key

"Nothing is better than getting out of winter weather and relaxing at upscale Longboat with family. Fortunately we stumbled upon this rental and were very glad we did. Let me first say that I was very appreciative that the owner, Phil was caring enough to inquire with his cleaning staff to see if they had found my mother's wedding ring and then mail it back to her at no cost in its original condition. He didn't have to do that and I don't think most rentals would even care to check. The home was very accommodating for the 6 of us; my husband and I and our teenage boys and my parents. It's one of the few places we have vacationed that seems to have enough to do for multi-generational families. Nearby was the beach for my kids, the pool and fishing pier for my father (80 yrs old) and golf and tennis for my husband. St Armand's circle was 10 minutes away and is a favorite of my mother and me for shopping and restaurants. We loved the Columbia Restaurant and I especially enjoyed Wyland Gallery for marine life art. The home is very relaxing and comfortable with open space to be together or four bedrooms if you need privacy. The bikes and beach gear came in handy for all of us. I wouldn't hesitate to return again and stay for two weeks if school schedule would allow it. Two thumbs up for castle-in-the-sky!"

  • Home away home

"My husband and I stayed for 2 weeks and would loved to have stayed several more. The pictures on VRBO show exactely the right impression of the condo, but still doesn't do the condo justice. It is much more beautiful. Everything was decorated in a nautical, beachy theme. Amenities are also way above expectations. The kitchen is supplied with every item one could need for preparing any meal. The storage room has plenty of beach and pool supplies. Washer and dryer is also a plus. From the balcony you have a unique view of the sea. In the morning you can see the dolphins swimming along while sitting at breakfast and in the evening you can watch the sunset with a glass of wine. The beach was beautiful as well and best of all, just out the back door and you are there. The beach is only for local residents and there are deck chairs and sun umbrellas available. The bathroom and kitchen in the condo were large and if I had to mention a little point of criticism, then maybe the cabinet doors could eventually be replaced. But nevertheless we have stayed in many different home/condos on Longboat Key, but this was by far our favorite! This area in general has so much to offer. There's a publix/CVS less than 4 miles away and St. Armand's Circle is less than 10 minutes away. You can ride a bike, walk, swim and play golf, which is our main hobby. Thanks to the owner Kim and Jon, who always answered any questions immediately. For over 20 years we spend our vacation on Longboat Key and I am already looking forward to next year and to my favorite apartement."
