  • Fantastic vacation house!

"Our stay at the cottage was great! The location of the house is so perfect! Just a very short walk to a perfect, peaceful beach and just 3 houses from a quiet fishing pier. My family and I enjoyed all of the home's amenities. The private, fenced yard was perfect for relaxing and grilling, as well as cleaning up with th outdoor shower. I was also incredibly excited about the Keurig machine and having a private washer & dryer. The neighborhood was so quiet and very dog friendly. Also, Publix grocery store is just minutes away for any last-minute necessities. We spent a great deal of time fishing off the pier and used the two-person kayak provided by the rental to see dolphins and a manatee. We look forward to staying at the house again. Adele was so friendly and easy to work with."

  • Wonderful find!

"We were so pleased with this delightful cottage located in the old Longbeach Village. The cottage was accurately described and more than lived up to our expectations. The cottage has been well cared for and was comfortable for the two of us but also worked well when our daughter and adult granddaughter came to visit. The lanai, which is now more shaded and private than in the picture, was a nice surprise. Very spacious and filled with comfortable furniture. We spent warm days out there reading frequently. The kitchen works well and the bedrooms are nice size. The neighborhood is quiet but accessible to the many attractions in the area. You can reach a Publix or a drugstore in 10-12 minutes either to the north or south. The beautiful peacocks strolling up and down the street were a plus during our two month stay. Another plus are the owners who were very responsive and helpful both before and during our stay. We hated to leave to come back north!"

"I've vacationed at the Outrigger Resort ,on and off , for 35 years. I first came here with my parents when I was 10 and now, vacation here with my adult children and grandchildren . What a joy it has been to have us all in one place to share the beach , our famous seafood pot boils, the pool and a generously sized Condo if you simply want to steel away for a nap. I love how convenient parking is for each room, it makes bringing in your luggage and groceries simple. Its very peaceful here and between the beach and the pool , you are assured some fantastic family memories here on Longboat Key ! Enjoy !"

  • A hidden Gem....very nice, updated unit at a GREAT resort. Love this place!!!

"I don't normally write reviews but we loved this place so much, I'm feeling the need! My wife an I are in our late 40's and when we travel from PA to a beach our goal is for great weather, an ocean front unit & plenty of relaxation. This resort is perfect! If you are looking for a studio unit, this is the one for you! after our 2nd trip to the resort, this unit will be the one we choose from this point on. It was really clean & updated. A complete kitchen w/full size fridge, stove, microwave & dishwasher, plenty of plates, classes & silverware, the fan over the bed was a really nice luxury. To be honest, when we weren't basking in the sun on the beach steps away, we were on the ground level patio enjoying the view of the water & just listened to the waves, it never gets old!! The TV was a nice size but frankly, we never even turned it on. I was lucky enough to meet & talk with the owner of the unit during our stay, she was a very nice lady who really seemed to care about how our stay was going, we loved that! :) I seriously have zero complaints about the unit....well maybe a larger beach umbrella would be nicer to hide under to escape the rays haha...The unit & resort in general for what you get in this area was A1 & extremely affordable!! could be the largest beach in longboat. A few suggestions for restaurants are the drydock seafood grill (10 min. drive) was our favorite, lazy lobster a few mins north was very good as well. we also drove an hour and 15 mins. to punta Gorda fla. & enjoyed an all you can eat seafood buffet at Hurrican Charlies on the bay, the buffet is Friday nights only.....If you love crab legs until you can't eat another bite, we strongly suggest making a trip here. not a bad price at $28 pp. We used to visit myrtle & ocean city.....not anymore, Longboat key Florida is the place for us. Try it once & I can assure you, you will feel the same!! The Gulf water is amazingly clear with very little seaweed & no jellyfish sightings!! Can't wait to go back...miss it already"
