  • Great Condo on the beach!

"We just returned from a wonderful family vacation on Marco Island. It is important to our family that we stay in a comfortable place when we vacation. This Somerset second floor unit was exactly that. First, off the owner, Bob, was great at communicating, quickly answering all our questions. He sent the keys ahead of time and provided a prepaid envelope to mail them back. In the past, we have had key issues when getting into this building and this made the start to our vacation a breeze. There is nothing worse then getting to your condo with luggage, groceries, tired and hungry family members and not being able to get into your condo. Big plus! The condo was clean and well decorated for a beach vacation. The pictures on the website are accurate except for the living area. There is a new sofa and chairs which was a nice surprise. The TV is a nice size and there is a binder with lots of menus from the local restaurants in the area. This helped us when choosing where to dine (more later). We loved having breakfast on the good size lanai, watching the joggers, walkers and dolphins. The condo has a large closet that is clean and organized with beach and pool items. There were plenty of beach towels, chairs and umbrellas that were all in great condition. This was a big deal for us as we have stayed at other condos in the Somerset where both were either broken or lacking. Both bedrooms were spacious and had plenty of closet space and drawers for our belongings and each having their own TV which was really nice as we like to watch a little TV before we go to sleep. The kitchen was well equipped with updated appliances. All in all a great condo that we will definitely not hesitate to return too. This is our 4th time to Marco Island and 4th time at the Somerset, so we are familiar with most of the restaurants but here are our favorites as I am told by my 20 year olds that I am very picky, true. I love food. Ne-Ne’s is great for breakfast and if you are there for lunch they have a to-die-for tuna fish sandwich. Fin Bistro is a little pricey but so worth it, amazing food. Da Vinci’s and Nacho Mama’s are great! For a fun time and live music try Stan’s for great people watching and casual eating. Thanks Bob for sharing your beautiful condo. It helped to make our family vacation memorable."

  • Better Than Expected!

"The house was beautiful! More than enough space for a family of 8 adults and two children. Jack was very helpful from the start of our stay until the end and ensured everything went as smoothly as possible - from recommending grocery stores, keeping the house stocked with everyday necessities, and giving us little island tips. For instance, we were able to see the fish in the canal gather around the dock light that he has at night was pretty cool to see! Our stay at Marco Island was great, so much more wildlife than we imagined and activities to do, while also having the option to just relax by the pool. All around a great family vacation thanks to Jack's hospitality and the ease of using VRBO."

  • Impressive, spacious, impeccible, great location and excellent amenities.

"This house was everything we could ask for and more. We were 15 family members that came form the N.E, W. and South for our annual gathering. It came fully furnished with every kitchen utensil imaginable and every spice you would need to make a great meal. The bedrooms are spacious and very nicely decorated , many with private bathrooms. The living area was very well appointed with huge seating areas, wide T.V.'s, VCR and Wi-Fi. It has a great pool with lounge chairs, umbrella and loads of toys for the kids. We held a family ping pong tourney which, the young ones won, of course. The kids had a floor to themselves, chock full of toys to play with loads of books to read. The Publix was a few blocks away so you could pick up groceries almost daily. The restaurants are also close by and you have a great variety to choose from at very reasonable prices. The property owner was available 24/7 and answered all of our questions to our great satisfaction. We highly recommend this house and look forward to returning."
