  • First of all you have to realize that this property is not your average rental on Marco. Luxury !

"Lee and Petra have gone out of their way to provide you with a five star property with luxury accommodations, state of the art electronics, appliances, and extras like the five bicycles to ride to the beach. You will not be disappointed by the location directly on the water and the simple beauty and peacefulness it provides. The stress literally drips out of you when you and your family stretch out on the lounge chairs on the pier. I have to say that the pictures of the pier do not do justice to the serenity and beauty of this location. It is really one of the only piers that has sufficent space to spread out your two loungers, four chairs and table. We loved coming down at any time of the day, because you always have sun and enjoyed reading, watching the fish jump out of the water non-stop, and just soaking it all in. Around 4:00 when the sun starts to get low, we would head up to the pool and enjoy a little more sun and watch the sun disappear behind the Marco Beach condos. . We loved the 5 star master bedroom suite. You're in for a real treat waking up to a view of the water and a beautiful walk-in shower with multiple shower heads and of course, a bubble tub and walk-in closet. Our favorite (ok, just too many to say one but here goes ) activity was riding the bikes (nice bikes) to the Marriott walkway to the beach and locking them up and then heading to Menchies ( frozen yogurt) at the Marriott. Plus, you can't beat a sunset at the Sunset Grille. For a real treat walk down towards Tigertail at sunset and as the sun disappears, some honorable soul plays "Taps" and "Amazing Grace" from his balcony. Yes, it is a moving experience and everyone on the beach claps and you leave with a renewed spirit of hope and peace. When you return to your residence you can relax in the two leather recliners and watch your favorite shows on the large screen HDTV. You will not be disappointed because everything you need is here. You have two refrigerators, washer/dryer, cooktop, microwave, oven, steamer, and even a couple of different toasters. Complimentary welcome wine or champagne and you are ready to go. Great neighbors, really! We met them and they are the salt of the earth. Our favorite stops include: Biking to the beach - Marriott and Sunset Grille; Wednesday Farmers Market (so many great food choices):Marco Island Brew Pub and Restaurant ( to watch your favorite team, it's a must); CJ's on the Bay(Thurs live music)"

  • A great family house!

"This 5-bedroom house has a lovely location on a sea-going canal. It is within one mile of the beach. We rented it for 3 weeks, with each week having a different family with grandchildren coming. We used their (two) kayaks and also enjoyed one or two dolphins swimming by. We especially loved the fact that the pool is right off the kitchen/living area. The pool was heated too, which was wonderful, because the first week the weather was dreadfully cold! There are two master bedrooms that open up to the deck on the upper/pool level. (The 3rd upstairs bedroom has two twin beds in it, which makes it convenient for young children to be near their parents.) Very nice. The kitchen was easy to use, and there was a nice gas grill on the deck with a large table for outside dining. At one occasion we had a hail storm and the owner had a repair man out almost immediately, to replace the damaged screens above the pool/deck area. The lower level, with two other large bedrooms, has a large open play area, with a nice pool table and a large TV with Xfinity cable. (There is another large TV in one master, and another one in the main living room. The "kids" bedroom with 2 twin beds also has a small TV.) Oh yes -- the internet service was fast -- even with at least 6 of us using at least 10 devices at the same time! :) Another item of great customer service happened when one of our grandsons realized after we left that he had forgotten a favorite stuffed animal. I called them, and within hours, they had found it (in between two of the couch cushions). They mailed it to us with no charge and it arrived within a day or two. Thank you so much! We will definitely use this house again."

  • Great Location. Home was clean, but needs some maintenance and upkeep.

"We rented out the home during the week between Christmas and New Year's 2016. For those not wanting to read my entire review, here are bullet points to reference: - Home is clean in the indoor living areas and worked nicely for our family of nine to stay there - Home needs some updating / repairs, specifically, the refrigerator, sink drains, outdoor party area and potentially the pool heater - Regardless of the listing, the home is a four bedroom, 2.5 bathroom (there is a shower and toilet downstairs by the pool, but no one is going to go downstairs by the pool to shower in the morning) - Owner / maintenance personnel are very responsive and friendly - We would stay in Marco Island again, but may try to book earlier to try out a new property Didn't get much information on the property prior to heading down, other than the code to access the key to the home. Arrived at the home at the scheduled time and had no issues getting in and accessing the property. There was no information on the property provided, but contact phone numbers. It would have been nice to have had instructions on operating the pool heater / jacuzzi. Upon walking through the home, we noted that multiple lights were burnt out in the home, a couple of the drains in the sinks weren't working, shower drains were running very slowly, and the ice maker in the refrigerator wasn't usable (rust colored ice in the bin). The outdoor patio area downstairs by the pool was functional, but the pool table had multiple broken cues. The downstairs bar was pretty gross (wouldn't recommend using) and the bathroom and shower had a strong mildew / mold smell. The pool and jacuzzi tub were also very cold and were not really usable upon our arrival. We called the maintenance person and discovered an incorrect number was provided. We subsequently called the property owner who was very responsive and had the maintenance person contact us. He was very friendly and, once we had the proper contact information, arrived within a couple hours and addressed the issues with the sinks and bulbs. The pool heater timers were believed to be set up incorrectly. He showed me how to operate it, but you would need significant lead time to get the jacuzzi operable and the pool warm. I'm not convinced the heater is working properly and our pool time was limited by it's functionality. Overall, the home was serviceable and worked nicely for our family. A little upkeep would go a long way."
