  • Superb villa on Beachwalk Isles

"We stayed for 2.5 weeks at Easter 2016 and loved it. We have stayed at other villas in the area and this was by far the best ever. So clean and comfortable - it had everything we wanted both at the house and for the beach, even including buckets and spades and beach chairs. Everything about the booking, payment, getting the key, deposit refund was seamless. The pool was heated as requested and so was really warm meaning my kids (6 & 4) could stay in as long as they liked without getting cold. There was sun on the pool area all day (one of my big concerns!) so I was happy out there in the afternoons after us spending mornings at the beach. The TV has loads of sport channels including English football so my husband was very happy! And the pool table in the games room was brill! The location of the house is great - a nice, safe, gated estate with Publix and Target supermarkets within a 2 minute drive. The beach in fort Myers is about 7k away with $2/hour metered parking freely available. It's a great location to get the best of both worlds - close to the beach but with a lovely private pool. We hope to return next year."

  • Great Place to go with Room for many!

"We were there with 2 families and the house was set up great for that. Only a block walk to town center so very handy. Very nice pool area and room for many. Kids had their friends over during the day and there was plenty of room by the pool. Very nice place to stay and convenient to everything."

  • Awesome

"We had an amazing time in this Captiva Cottage. We were 6 adults and there was plenty of space for all of us. Happy hour everyday at the very private pool with shade for those who wanted it and sun for others. Sunset on the beach just minutes away (across the street) was a nice evening adventure, what can I say about the shells except WOW! They might say Sanibel is the sea shell capital but I don't think shelling can get much better than here at Captiva. Our favorite restaraunt is Mucky Duck just a couple of miles away, A real plus door us was the screened in lanai. Great place to play board games in the evening. I have already booked for next year. Thanks Margarethe for making the cottage so special."

  • Beautiful Gulf Front Condo

"My husband and I rented this unit from 10/17/15 – 10/24/15. The Unit : We loved everything about it and it was perfect for the 2 of us. The unit was recently renovated and beautiful. The gulf front view is amazing. The storage unit in the bedroom is amazing with enough space for everything and then some. It was also nice having the small desk/vanity. The king size bed was spacious and very comfortable. Swim noodles and a beach chair were found under the bed. The bathroom was spacious and beautifully redone. The water pressure in the stand up shower was refreshing. Another storage closet in the bathroom contained additional necessities. The beach chairs and the beach umbrella were there as well as sand toys. There were 4 beach chairs in the closet. One was broken. They are the low sling back beach chairs and they do recline. However the 2 chairs that we used had issues with the locking pins and they would lean. They were also difficult getting out of on the beach. I understand how difficult it is to keep chairs maintained etc…This in no way detracts from the unit but it would be nice to have Tommy Bahama type chairs. The kitchen was great and we used it a lot. We had everything we needed. We also used the grill downstairs a few times. It was great having the use of a gas grill. The Grounds/Beach: the grounds were beautifully maintained and the pool was heated and very nice. The beach is beautiful. Keep in mind that the beach directly in front of the building is not very wide. A quick walk north via the grass path around the lagoon or thru the shallow water from the beach and you will be at a very wide beach area. We took many walks north up the beach and it was great. We also took walks south where it is a little narrower depending on the tides. Great for walking. We saw dolphins every day. We would highly recommend this unit and would rent again of we return to the area. Our only real issue was in the building lobby. For the entire week there was a very unpleasant odor in the lobby area and the elevators. We found out that there was a problem with unwanted 4 legged visitors and they had treated the lobby and elevators. We understand the 4 legged visitors but the odor all week was unpleasant. Again it has no reflection on the unit itself and we would definitely give the condo 5 stars!"
