  • very good

"We had very good experience with my family. It is very close to the beach, so as international travelers we did not have to rent a car. The condo had everything we needed - fully furbished kitchen, beach umbrellas and chairs. Lisa was very helpful with all the information we needed. Thank you. We definitely want to come back again sometime in the future."

  • Best in class

"It seemed like a good idea at the time. Beach Bungalow Bliss was a little bigger than we needed since it was only the two of us, but it came with 2 bikes and was only a mile to a beach to the southwest (Vanderbilt) and another one to the northwest (Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park). Coincidentally, we happened to be spending a weekend about 5 miles away the weekend before this trip. So I contacted the owners to get the address so we could do a “drive by” while we were in the area. To our surprise and good fortune, they were in the area at the time and graciously invited us to stop by for a tour of the place. They gave us a thorough tour of a very nicely decorated 2/2 with a screened in front patio, a large “Florida room” in the back, a garage (with the 2 bikes!), and a *fully* equipped kitchen. The web site pictures don’t do it justice. It is the nicest house on the block. When we came back a week later to actually use it, everything was in order. We arrived to find a nice “welcome basket”. The appliances are all in fine working order. The bed is comfortable. The kitchen is fun to work in. All the utensils are better than most basic VRBO setups. My wife loved the potato peeler, but alas, we had to leave it behind! The first few days started as a working vacation. I had to have good internet access for work. The service there worked just fine. The place has easy access to the two beaches, a bike trail, several restaurants, Publix, Walgreen and CVS, Dunkin Donuts, etc. In a 10 minute drive you can find more of all that plus tourist attractions, excellent ice cream (Kilwin’s), shopping (The Village, 5th Ave in Naples), water sports (kayak eco-tours with Finseeker Guided Adventures, Hydrobike). Several days started with breakfast on the front patio. It was very quiet and surprisingly private. My wife liked early morning bike rides. She would leisurely peddle up and down the streets on the canals across Vanderbilt Drive and admire the mansion homes in the area. Later in the day was too hot for that, but by then it’s nap time anyway! All of our dealings with the owners were cordial and professional. We have stayed in many VRBO locations in the past but this one in “Best in class”. So, what seemed like a good idea turned out to be a great idea!"

  • Just Perfect

"We have just planned our third year visiting LaScala and we can’t wait to get back. The condo is perfect with all the amenities one would look for on holiday get away. It is spacious and well appointed with three bedrooms, two baths and a large well equipped kitchen. The large living room and dining area are beautiful and bright. And that’s just inside. It also has a large screened balcony where we dined out with a view of the inner channel. In addition, there is an outdoor lanai with the most comfortable chaise lounges-the perfect spot to get some sun and read. The views from the front and rear of the condo are breathtaking offering the most unforgettable sunrises and sunsets. Just a short walk across the street you have one of the most spectacular beaches you will find anywhere in the world with white powder sand and inviting gulf waters. Our family loves the beach and we spend a great deal of time there. The water is generally very calm which is perfect for the little ones. Of course, if one prefers a pool, the condo offers that as well along with a Jacuzzi. All the beach toys and equipment one might need are provided, including beach umbrellas and chairs. A nice barbecue area is also available for condo residents that makes cooking out easy and pleasant. There are terrific dining choices locally or with a short drive to downtown Naples. Great shopping is also close by. There is also the Botanical Gardens, the Naples Zoo, The Baker Art Museum at Artis Naples, and so many other interesting places to visit. Our dealings with the managing agent have been most pleasant, professional and handled in an organized and efficient manner. The condo was spotless on arrival and the linens and towels washed and clean. The condo also has a new washer and dryer for your convenience. Suffice it to say, we feel very much at home at LaScala and look forward to returning."

  • Wish We Could Have Stayed Longer

"I rarely write reviews for lodging. I'm often unimpressed and often feel guilty writing a negative review. We really enjoyed our stay here. The pictures are very accurate and the home was well stocked. The home was a perfect size and the neighborhood was quiet. The proximity to the beach, movie theaters, etc is perfect. We had considered staying at the Ritz Carlton but the prices there are so ridiculous and the reviews did not reflect perfection. I know its a vacation and television shouldn't be important but it is to us and the owners do not skimp on the satellite/cable service. We have stayed in a few different homes across the country through homeaway and I have always been annoyed at the lack of curtains. The purpose of this trip was to have a couples get away for a couple of days and so we wanted to sleep in. The curtains were much appreciated! Overall I would highly recommend this home and would love to return next year with our son."
