"This was our first experience renting a property rather than a motel. This wonderful completely furnished cottage was perfect in everyway. It is very clean and equipped with everything you could need. My wife enjoyed cooking in the totally equipped kitchen and serving in a nice dinning room or outside in the lanai or on the huge deck. It had everything from numerious board games to bicycles and fishing equipment in the garage. It is located in a beautiful neighborhood which is close to many restaurants, beaches, the intercoastal waterway all within 5 minutes driving distance. This cottage exceed all our expectations. Our biggest surprise was how close we were to everything from a supermarket to great beaches and restaurants. Steve was easy to contact and work with. His neighbors were nice and we even borrowed some flour from one. We were feeling at home there. Steve obviously has a lot of pride in his property. After this experience, we will not be staying in a motel when we visit our grandchildren. First on our list will be Steve's property, if it is available. Thank you Steve for making our stay one to remember. Walter"

"The villa is set in a quiet neighbourhood and has one of the most picturesque back gardens in Florida. The villa is well equipped and well presented. We used the bikes to cylce the legacy trail and also used the golf clubs for a round at Calusa Lakes golf club. The large pool was also well used to cool us down after a day out. The area itself has many restaurants and eating places. We particularly like the Crow's nest down in Venice. Venice itself is a quiet town but you can amble around downtown at night. The gelato shop has really good ice cream! Sarasota and St Armands Circle are only half an hour away. The Ringling Museum in Sarasota and the Edison h House at Fort Myers are worth a visit. We also went to Myaka State Park where we went looking for 'Gators on the "worlds largest airboat" We also hired bikes and did a bit of cycling."

  • Awesome views

"We just spent a week at Russell's in a lower unit, and it was just perfect. We seen pictures on line, but it is even more beautiful than the pictures. We could see the beach and the water as we sat on the couch, we could see the water from our dinner table. The outside patio has a bistro table just outside the doors of every unit. We would have coffee in the morning and watch the dolphins, and the sunsets every night, so relaxing. The owner is very nice and really wants guests to be happy. The manager's are a local and take very good care of Russells. The unit's are very well kept nice and clean. There is a washer & dryer no charge. Close to restaurants. We can't wait to come back to Russells. I would highly recommend staying. We meet other very nice people, we all laughed and said we never want to leave."
