  • Ready to go back and we just got home!

"My family, including a 2 yr old and a 9 yr old had a great time! Such a lovely, clean house with incredible views. You needn't bring a thing besides a bathing suit and sunglasses! All the amenities you could need from bikes and yaks to beach toys and life jackets! We kayak fished all week (we brought two of our own but found that next time there will be no need). We had great fishing around the docks and on Jug Creek. Lots of snapper, sea trout, snook (was out of season though) and redfish. Had a shark, some dolphins and manatees right next to me in the kayak. We took day trips to Cayo Costa, Captiva and Sanibel (Ding Darling - great fishing there as well with all the above species and a sheeps head!) We will be back for sure!! Just such a great place to kickback and chill!"

  • No place like home

"This was our family's second stay at the Wilson House. Each day (after outings to the Sanibel beaches, Caya Costa State Park, Marco Island, etc.), someone in our party of 4 always mentioned about returning "home." That, I thought, spoke volumes about how comfortable everyone felt here and how cozy a place this is to stay. We were even welcomed this year with a bouquet of flowers on the kitchen table. The house includes everything one could need; we especially appreciate having a washer and dryer so we didn't have to pack a week's worth of clothes when we came. We used the beach umbrella, beach chairs, beach bag and towels every day and the Yahtzee game (in the game closet) every evening. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, near several restaurants and deli, and near the Tropic Star marina (for kayaking and for the ferry ride to Caya Costa). It is about an hour from Sanibel, which is an easy drive. Wifi is available in the house. We were able to connect with our smartphones, but found that we spent the majority of the week disconnected, enjoying the sun, the sand, the water and each other's company. Thank you, again, to Michael and Sherry, for sharing their home with us and allowing us to call this place "home" for a week!"
