  • Fabulous holiday

"Traveled here from the UK with my wife and 16 year old twins for a 2 week break. We felt at home as soon as the door opened. This is a beautiful property in a quiet residential area, superbly maintained with all the home comforts you could want including netted pool, outdoor seating and dining, high speed wireless, cable, fully equipped kitchen and outdoor barbecue. The fixtures and fittings are of the highest standard: There are 4 well proportioned and very comfortable bedrooms with enough space for 8 people to sleep plus 2 bathrooms. The sumptuous leather couches in the open plan lounge area add to the relaxed feel of the property. There are plenty of things to do and see within striking distance by car of the house including Mangrove tours, dolphin and manatee watching, sailing, fishing, shopping, restaurants, very beautiful beaches (Siesta Key, Fort Myers, Boca Grande and Stump Pass), museums (Ringling is fascinating as are the winter homes of Edison and Ford in Fort Myers). Mote aquarium in Sarasota is worth visiting and we spent quite some time in St Armands Circle which was built by the Ringling family in the shape of a circus ring. Venice is also a very pretty town and they had "Christmas in July" while we were there - not entirely convinced by Father Christmas in shorts and sunglasses but we joined in... Punta Gorda and the Fishermans' Village is a must as is a drink and food at the end of the pier at Harpoon Harry's. Finally, as a one-off, a visit and a meal at Sharky's on the Pier near Venice is a delight - if you can get there for a meal and stay for sunset it is a treat to behold. Plenty of retail "therapy" is available as well at Bradenton (Outlet Stores), Port Charlotte, Fort Myers and Sarasota (to name just 4). It is about 5 minutes from supermarkets (Publix and Walmart). I knew it would be good - but it was beyond expectation - we will be back..."

  • Fabulous Two Weeks in Paradise

"We enjoyed our stay at Albatross. Thanks Kathy for being so helpful in arranging for our stay! We felt like we were home during the entire time. There are all the things you need to enjoy a beach and golfing vacation. We really enjoyed the bikes, with so many scenic bikes trails right off the property. We all wished that we could have stayed longer and am looking forward to coming back to Rotonda West next winter!"

  • We loved it !

"We had a lovely time in this superb villa. The property is located at the end of a cul-de-sac, not overlooked at all by the neighbours. The lanai is facing the 18th hole of a golf course. The 2 living areas are extremely comfortable with large satellite TV screens. All bedrooms are really nicely decorated and the kitchen fully equiped. We used many times the bikes to cycle in the area - particularly enjoyed the nature rail close by. We had the regular visit of a heron in the morning and saw many turtles , a Bob cat (I think that is how they are called !) and many other lovely birds. The beach is about 10 to 15 min drive from the house. During our stay we visited Sannibelle, The evergaldes, Miami, St Peterbourgh and Sarasota."
