  • We always come back to this condo

"We have been returning to this condo since we first found it. We stayed at John and Audrey's condo the first week of June this year. Our days of travel were not the traditional Saturday to Saturday and John was very flexible to work things out to get us in. Last year we stayed for longer than the 7 nights and we were also accommodated. We love this condo. It is beautiful inside. The tile and stone throughout is just incredible. The master bath is done completely in stone and is a great space. They have remodeled this condo with a different layout from the other condos at IBC. The master bath is large and private. The kitchen is another area they gave a lot of attention. We cooked nearly all of our meals in the kitchen. We only ate at restaurants twice while we were at Sanibel this time. We wanted to maximize our time on the beach and in the water. All of this said, the main reason that we chose this condo in the first place, besides the beautiful interior, is the view of the Gulf. It is not a direct beachfront property, but the view form the screened in lanai is wonderful - the palm trees and the Gulf- what more could you ask for. My husband fishes from the beach here and gets going very early in the morning. I can watch him from the lanai before I go down. Also when you open up the blinds on the wall of windows, it is like the condo is an extension of the outdoors. This year there were two little frogs that could somehow scale the windows and hung out along the sills. The shed has chairs and umbrellas and some toys for the beach. There are 5 beach towels also available in the condo so you don't have to pack them. Paper and soap items are also provided. There was plenty of dishwasher detergent, but I would recommend buying some laundry detergent. I did at least 2 loads of laundry each day. With kids, something is always needing washed and it is so nice to be able to wash them in the evening or morning right in the condo. It also makes it possible to pack lighter. We come to Sanibel for this location. We could stay the entire time right here along this stretch of beach and not visit any where else. It has a great condo, fishing from shore, lots of different animal life, great shelling, and a multitude of people who are happy to be doing the same things you are. We will definitely be returning to John and Audrey's condo and are thankful that they have made it available to us. - Mary"

  • A little bit of paradise

"The condo is well maintained. There are books, dvd's, and ever utensil needed for cooking if you desire (we took advantages of the restaurants: Doc Ford, George and Windy, Island Cow, and Green Flash. The lanai is screened and equipped with variable speed fans, a real nice feature. No need to bring floats, beach chairs, noodles, or umbrellas. How you could improve on the condo amenities is beyond imagination. Now to the view. As a second floor unit, 227, you see the lagoon, surrounded by Palmetto trees, the ocean, and birds. Because of an Atlantic hurricane our stay had a good deal of rain so breakfasting on the lanai, watching the birds, and just rocking in the rockers was most relaxing. As you may have gathered, we had a very enjoyable stay."

  • Clean and Comfortable with a Fantastic View!

"This was our first trip to Sanibel after spending 20 years vacationing in Hilton Head, SC. We may have found our new vacation home! This condo is just as advertised. Very clean, has everything you would need for a weeks stay, including anything you would need for the beach or the pool. The only exception being beach towels. The Island is beautiful and the ocean waters are so calm you can float! We were initially surprised by the screened in balcony-disappointed that perhaps the view would not be as nice. This property is also on the first floor. The first floor of this complex is raised so no obstructions to the view and you will most appreciate the screens when you encounter the bugs!! I like to leave the balcony doors open to hear the ocean, however found out the hard way that this is probably not a good idea at night as the "noseeums" can get through the screens. Yikes! I had several bites so left the doors closed the rest of the week after the sun sets! We also found Sanibel to be a bit pricey (the on island grocery stores really jack the prices up) but they are so convenient. Jerrys is close by. We cooked in or ordered in several times to save a little money. The condo was so nice we did not miss leaving to go out! The pool area was very clean and quiet. One afternoon I was the only person there and was able to use one of the floats from the owners closet without bothering anyone. Everyone we encountered was very nice. Bill and Barb were so nice to work with! They sent us info about local restaurants, etc before we went and were available for any questions that we had. Thank you!"

  • Great vacation at Pointe Santo

"My wife and I plus our 2 sons (ages 20 and 16) plus one girlfriend recently returned from our first visit to Sanibel Island. From our initial contact to departure I have nothing but great things to say about the owners and our condo at Pointe Santo. The condo was spotless and well appointed. There were plenty of beach items (towels, chairs, umbrella - even a tent) and the location was super convenient. Most days I used the grills located just yards from our condo for a quick lunch. Recently a pair of bald eagles have begun nesting just across the road from the Pointe Santo complex and I was blessed to see an eagle swoop down and take a fish from the lagoon less than 50' from me while I was grilling! That was a highlight I never expected. Sanibel, the beach and this condo were were very enjoyable. The only downside I can come up with is the week flew by too fast!"
