  • Revisted this Great Condo!!

"It took us two years to get back to Sanibel and this great unit. We could only stay for a week but the weather and the island is still a wonderful place to see. We will return as soon as possible."

  • Wonderful Cottage

"My mother and I visited Sanibel Island for the first time. We found "Driftwood Inn" cottage to be quite charming. Bridget was extremely helpful from the first contact until our departure. We arrived on Friday afternoon, and found the cottage easily. The locks on the door were electronic (handy and convenient), so we did not have to keep up with a key to the house. It was very clean and tidy. There were extra towels, wash clothes, and blankets. Outside on the screened in lanai, comfortable table and chairs. A beach wagon, umbrella, and chairs were provided. There were also "scoopers" to use to look for shells! We did call the property manager for a new umbrella, because the one there was broken. The property manager brought one to us the next day. We are so thankful for the umbrella! The bathrooms were clean and orderly. The floor is made of tile, so it stays cool. AC throughout the cottage, making it heavenly when you come in from the beach. We did use the laundry facilities out back. The detergent was provided. We didn't have time to use the grills or outdoor furniture, but they were convenient to the house. The kitchen is perfect! There were plenty of dishes, detergent, and pans to use for cooking. Coffee pot, toaster, and microwave were all working. There wasn't a supply of simple condiments (salt, pepper, etc), but we managed without it for a few days. The oven cooked a little warmer than the temperature it was set to, but we figured that out after our first round of extra crispy cookies. TV was small, but we didn't come to watch the TV. Overall, I would recommend this cottage (#1) to anyone looking to come to the island for a nice stay! The walk to the beach is less than 2 blocks. Most of it is shaded by the trees, and of course flat and paved. The wagon was such a big help, so that we didn't have to carry anything. The "deeded" becah was nice, because there were not a lot of people around the area we were staying. I would recommend renting bikes to travel the island. We did drive around the island, but the bikes were way more fun. Thank you Bridget for letting us use your cottage! We are looking forward to coming back to Sanibel Island soon!"

  • Clean and Comfortable with a Fantastic View!

"This was our first trip to Sanibel after spending 20 years vacationing in Hilton Head, SC. We may have found our new vacation home! This condo is just as advertised. Very clean, has everything you would need for a weeks stay, including anything you would need for the beach or the pool. The only exception being beach towels. The Island is beautiful and the ocean waters are so calm you can float! We were initially surprised by the screened in balcony-disappointed that perhaps the view would not be as nice. This property is also on the first floor. The first floor of this complex is raised so no obstructions to the view and you will most appreciate the screens when you encounter the bugs!! I like to leave the balcony doors open to hear the ocean, however found out the hard way that this is probably not a good idea at night as the "noseeums" can get through the screens. Yikes! I had several bites so left the doors closed the rest of the week after the sun sets! We also found Sanibel to be a bit pricey (the on island grocery stores really jack the prices up) but they are so convenient. Jerrys is close by. We cooked in or ordered in several times to save a little money. The condo was so nice we did not miss leaving to go out! The pool area was very clean and quiet. One afternoon I was the only person there and was able to use one of the floats from the owners closet without bothering anyone. Everyone we encountered was very nice. Bill and Barb were so nice to work with! They sent us info about local restaurants, etc before we went and were available for any questions that we had. Thank you!"

  • Villa Sanibel

"47 steps from low tide, exceptional cleanliness, spacious, all sorts of amenities (bikes, BBQ grill, beach chairs, games, tennis court, etc.). Very friendly surroundings. Many restaurants to choose from. Totally relaxed atmosphere; a must go to. I've always preferred the East coast, but Villa Sanibel has converted me!"
