  • Wonderful beach house with pool

"We had a wonderful week in this cute beach home on Shell Basket Lane. We come to Sanibel every year and my only complaint is the trip ended too soon. The pool was definitely the main focus for the kids-it was big enough for all of us-2 adults and 3 kids. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook meals, there is a charcoal grill in the back yard, and the rooms are nicely furnished and decorated. The master bed was VERY comfortable. We experienced Tropical Storm Colin while on the island, and some of the landscaping suffered in the high winds, but the grounds-keeping crew was out the next day, cleaning up and mowing. The house is situated near the Sanibel Beach Club and Coquina Beach complexes, which you pass on your easy 1 block walk to the beach. Convenient to all that Sanibel has to offer-shopping, restaurants, wildlife refuge, lighthouse, beach, etc. Easy bike ride to many shops and restaurants. We recommend the Sanibel Fish House, The Lazy Flamingo, Doc Ford's, The Blue Giraffe, The Over Easy Cafe and Zebra Treats as some of our favorite spots for island grub. We always explore the Bailey Tract, and have seen alligators and a bobcat in years past. Go to the Periwinkle Park campground/RV park to check out the tropical birds, lemurs and monkeys! We love the Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum and the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge, also. Tarpon Bay Explorers is a great place to rent kayaks or a boat to check out dolphins and manatees. We will rent this lovely home again!"

  • Where's the beach?

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was lovely but even though it begins at the beach, you can'treally see the beach from building three because it's way too far back. If we stay there again, and we may because we love Sanibel, We will try to get closer to the front. It was perfectly maintained and conviently located to all the stuff we love."

  • Sanibel Beach House

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental is fantastic! A part of me wanted to give it a bad review so no one else would book it and we could have it all to ourselves... but... I'm not going to do that! We had a blast staying here. The house is very new. It still has that “new house” smell. The decor is very tasteful and calming. Great TVs in all the rooms and a modest sound system in the family room. All the rooms are very nice - laundry, kitchen, bedrooms, family room… the bathrooms were especially nice… all were great. There is a shower outside down by pool which is nice to use to wash sand off of your feet and/or rinse off before you get into the pool. The kitchen is well stocked and all of the appliances were very nice. The house was perfect for our children. We have 4 and they all love to swim. They used the pool literally every day. The pool is nice because it has various depths - from “kid pool” depth to about 5’. The screened in pool is brilliant so the bugs (for the most part) aren’t a bother. The house is surround by tall trees and thick foliage which offers a ton of privacy. And the beach is just a quick 5 minute walk from the house. Sanibel Vacations (SBL) was especially great. Very easy to get a hold of and very responsive. All-in-all, it was a great experience and we plan on doing it again. One note - there are a lot of stairs so if stairs are your nemesis, this rental may not be for you."

  • Perfect location and amenities for all ages

"We vacationed here on Spring Break (2 adults and 4 kids aged 11-15). It was our first time in Sanibel. Pointe Santo (PS) is at a great location, and our kids loved biking (rented bikes for the week from Billy's) all over the Island. PS is located right by the Tarpoon Bay Rd, so easy to get to the main drag. The views from our second floor were amazing. Each condo had a great view. The only disappointments were #1 No-See-Um bugs at dawn and dusk. We all came home with bad bites! Not sure if this is all the time, but stinks you can't be out on the beach at dusk to watch the beautiful sunsets and not get eaten alive! #2- two days of our vacation there were these black annoying bugs on the beach. They didn't bite, they just landed on you and stayed. They were even at the pool. Again, just lasted 2 days. No one seemed to know what they were, but annoying. The condo was spacious and enough room for us all (the pictures on here are old. The master had new bedding and the living room not this furniture). My only complaint was the counter tops were new, and appliances were old. The refrigerator had side holders that were missing the shelving, so you couldn't put condiments, etc. on the side door. The stove was dated as well, but worked. Overall, I would recommend Pointe Santo for any family. The volleyball, and all different age groups at the beach is fun for everyone! The shelling is awesome too. Lots of restaurant options. Our favorite was the Island Cow, and for breakfast, Over Easy Café."
