  • Beach Bliss

"Life's a Beach is wonderful, a beach cottage paradise. It has so many amenities, exactly as described. The cottage is bright and clean and in a lovely, very quiet neighborhood. The property is comfortable and well maintained. Each year we notice improvements and new items for guests to use, a new grill this year. Though we didn't cook, other than quick breakfasts, it's nice to have the option, with a grill and full kitchen. This was our third visit, and we've already booked our fourth. I anxiously await our return every year, sometimes watching sunsets on The Mucky Duck webcam. Our favorite things are the beach decor, lush plants and trees, the hot tub, nightly sunsets less than a block away, and good restaurants within easy walking distance or a short drive away. We bought a coupon book through the Sanibel-Captiva Kiwanis Club for $35 with many buy one/get one entree coupons (keep an eye on their Facebook page for when they go on sale). There is so much to do in the Captiva-Sanibel area! We simply love it and take full advantage of what there is to do, plus relaxing, of course! This year we went shelling at low tide at Bowman's Beach (score!), attended a beach walk with a marine biologist at Island Inn in Sanibel (register through Bailey Matthews National Shell Museum, in person or on their website), kayaked around Buck Key with Adventure Sea Kayak from Tween Waters property (many birds, a small shark, dolphins swimming not even six feet away, a cormorant named Carl that lands on the kayaks watching for fish stirred up by the paddles), drove through J.N. Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge to see birds, crab races at The Crow's Nest Restaurant at Tween Waters (what a hoot, at least once in a lifetime), and went to hear Randy Wayne White speak about his brand new book in the Hannah series, "Seduced." This series is good, but don't miss his Doc Ford series. We did a one-day trip to Key West from Ft. Myers Beach on the Key West Express catamaran. In Key West, we went to the Butterfly Museum, Ernest Hemingway's home, Southernmost point buoy for pictures, Southernmost Cafe for a delicious lunch, and Schooner Wharf bar for a quick drink before boarding for our return. I highly recommend Life's a Beach!"

  • Great Trip!

"We had a great time at this condo for our summer trip. It was hot in July but the beautiful white sand was never hot, and Ian giving us umbrellas and chairs was amazing to be able to sit in the shade as the kids played. This condo was great and had everything we could need. They thought of everything. The beach cart with rafts, noodles, coolers etc was awesome for the walk to the beach. Beach towels, games, fishing poles and even tennis racquets. The pool and bay were beautiful. Lots of nice restaurants to drive to in Siesta Village. Parking was a little tough but we just went early. Siesta key is great location as well for visiting lots of other beaches within driving distance. Loved Myakka state park where we hiked and saw gators. Mixon fruit farm was so cute - animals you can touch and great juice! I would absolutely recommend this place!"

  • Captiva Lover!

"My family and I just spent 10 amazing days in Captiva at Dr. Sawyer's beautiful Condo. This is our second year at this condo - we abandoned the South Seas condos because the set up here is perfect. I noticed immediately that there was new carpet and sofas and new bedding. The place is gorgeous and immaculate! The lanai looks over Sunset beach - truly spectacular. For nature lovers, there's an osprey nest just outside with baby Ospreys. Every day we watched Dolphins and manatees swim in the water ... Practically with us! My husband fished off the beach and caught trout and flounder. And we truly appreciated the new beach chairs and umbrellas provided by Dr Sawyer. There's really no need for South Seas amenities. The condo is in walking distance to a group of shops and Doc Fords grill. No need to drive!! A short walk to the Bubble Room, great Mexican restaurant, the Mucky Duck... And more!!!! I can't say enough. Best vacation ever."

  • Quiet Waters

"What a wonderful snowbird vacation we had for six weeks at Quiet Waters. The property is very well maintained and extremely private yet the security features made me feel like I was comfortable and safe. The house is very well equipped with linens and utensils and the beds were very comfortable. The back yard is superb; we really enjoyed the pool, hot tub and dock overlooking the canal. Port Charlotte has a lot to offer and we especially enjoyed the golf course, cultural centre and the Port Charlotte Beach which were all within a 5 mile radius of Quiet Waters. The sunsets over Port Charlotte Beach are a must see! We would definitely return to this property and have already recommended it to our friends. Hope to return in 2018."
