  • Very nice place

"I spent a week here at the start of May. The property was nicely furnished, comfortable and spotless. The kitchen set up was perfect, with everything you could need, and plenty of crockery so you didn't need to keep running the dishwasher. The roof terrace was very pleasant, but getting too hot in the middle of the day! D-47 is at the top and end of the building, so there is virtually no foot traffic past the front door. The screening on the balcony keeps the bugs away, as does the cover at the top of the spiral staircase to the roof patio. The air conditioning is very effective. I had a very comfortable stay and have no reservations about recommending it. Pointe Santo has nicely kept grounds, as is well positioned on the island for getting groceries (they both deliver anyway!) and visiting the attractions. The owners made the rental process fast and simple"

  • A beautiful condo on a wonderful island

"Sanibel is a wonderful destination for nature lovers and families: unspoiled nature and beaches, shells and birds, architecture respecting the landscape, biking as preferred mode of transportation. This condo is perfectly located next to one of the most beautiful stretches of beach on the island. It is within a short hiking/biking distance (1 mile) from the Sanibel Sea School, Pinocchio's ice cream parlor and the lighthouse - dream destinations for kids. 5-10 minutes driving distance to the Dunes Golf & Tennis, Jerry's grocery store and plenty of restaurants. 15 minutes to Ding Darling Wildlife Preserve and Tarpon Bay kayaking and sea tours. 30 minutes to Captiva Island. The unit itself is clean and nicely furnished in "island style". As mentioned by other reviewers, nice view of the pool and the gulf. Three bedrooms and three full bathrooms, very efficiently laid out."

  • Fantastic Condo and Stay!

"Our family has rented this unit for nine years now. My young grandson was 5 months old during his first stay here. He is now 8 years old and told me that we can NOT stay at any other condo...ever! So out of the mouths of babes...this condo is superb. Our entire family loves this condo. We are looking forward to our tenth anniversary stay! Working with the owner is a pure delight. She is most accommodating and caring. The unit speaks for itself in the photos...yet, the condo is more gorgeous in person. The Gulf view from the large lanai is inspirational...where I do a lot of writing. The furniture on the condo is beautiful and comfortable. Everything is convenient within the unit...laundry room, current appliances, beautiful kitchen/work area. Bedrooms are nicely decorated and comfortable...the whole place envelopes you with a warm and inviting welcome each time you enter it. The pool is great...well maintained and lots of furniture to lounge in as the kids swim. The pathway to the beach is short and sweet...giving you a view of the natural state of the island and then miles and miles of a sandy beach filled with endless seashells. The condo has a beach storage enclosure filled with beach chairs and pool items. The island offers all kinds of activities and this condo is close to the hub of the island. I highly recommend this unit to everyone; the owner is a gem to work with at all times."

  • Mid-July on Sanibel

"We keep coming back to Villa Sanibel 3A for many reasons. We have tried other resorts and units in Villa Sanibel but prefer 3A because we have an assigned parking space right outside the entry door; we have no steps to climb since it is a ground floor unit; it is non-smoking; it is fully furnished; when we walk out thru the lanai, we are at the pool; just a short walk down the driveway and we are at the beach; there are several visitor parking spaces (unlike some other resorts); a short walk to the bike baths; a short bike ride to the grocery store, CVS and other shopping; and there is a BBQ right next to the pool . After trying several different weeks in June and July, we like the weeks starting after the 4th as a little quieter and meeting returning renters we met from previous years. Every year we have met different European travelers who have interesting info to share. Yes, it is hot in July but it is nice and cool in 3A. Sanibel Holiday manages the registration for 3A and is a great resource for information and assistance with personal needs. There are many good restaurants on Sanibel/Captiva and Sanibel Holiday as well as other guests at Villa Sanibel are great sources for recommendations. This year, relatives decided to rent another unit to experience all of what they have heard about Sanibel Island and Villa Sanibel. Much time was spent looking for unique shells to discuss and take home."
