  • Seashells are not the only great thing to find in Sanibel

"You also need a great place to stay. Here's what you need to know: 1. You cannot be closer to the water, in Pointe de Santo or anywhere else on Sanibel. 2. The unit is well maintained, extremely clean, and you can tell the family that owns it takes great care of it 3. You will love the complex (pool, etc.) and proximity to everything (grocery, restaurants, nature). 4. Be prepared to relax and have days where your toughest decisions are: Beach first or pool first? Everything in the rental description of the property is 100% accurate. I will amplify a few important points: This is a corner unit. It's bigger than most, having 2 full bedrooms (one with 3 beds), plus an entire den and family room. Because it is a corner unit, you can slip your shoes off when you come into the big entry way, with room for your bags or other stuff. The unit has beach towels, chairs, etc. The Wifi in the complex is sufficient for your kids to stream shows on their devices. I corresponded with the owner before renting and found her very helpful and genuine. The rental company was efficient and polite (they're one of the major ones with an office right on Periwinkle, the main drag). If you are reading this I assume you are already a Sanibel fan. What we love is you can adjust your visit to suit your needs: either relax on the property or get out and do plenty (beaches, boating, fishing, shopping, Ft Meyers is a wonderful city for day trips, nature preserves, Thomas Edison museum, minor league baseball games, Captiva, etc.). The logistics into Ft. Meyers and Sanibel are smooth."

  • Family On Sanibel

"We just got home from a month on Sanibel and a stay in this wonderful home. Thank you Joan for making this available to us. This house is perfect for a stay on Sanibel Island, close to the beach, swimming pool, 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, fully supplied with bikes, beach and pool toys, a full kitchen and more. I would return here in a second. We highly recommend this property. 5 stars from our family. Great places to eat close by, Island Cow, Over Easy Café, Island Pizza and Bailey's and Jerry's for groceries."

  • The BEST Possible place for beach lovers

"Perfect location - last complex before Lighthouse Park. Easy to Walk along the entire east end beachs of Sanibel Island. This particular unit is next to the stairwell to the beach as well. And LOVED the pool. Seldom any children, and positioned for full sun from somewhere on site til plenty late in the day. Interior of this spacious condo is spotless and impeccable. Every kitchen appliance you could possibly want. Filtered water in the frig so no need to buy ice or hassle with bottled water. Beach/pool stuff is here - 6 or 8 big beach towels and 4 chairs. Even an umbrella if one should want to use it (we did not). I see where it could easily accommodate 3 couples. We Hope to stay at this very same unit in the future. (Wish the future was NOW and we did not have to leave!!) LightHouse Café is nearby, but many others are within the 12 mile length of the island. . Oh - and When air conditioner went out, it was repaired promptly the next morning by the owner. There is also an On-Site maintenance man (for the complex) who is often available for questions and will address any exterior building concerns. I highly recommend this place to EVERYONE. HINT for shellers: Take the Captiva Cruises ship to Cayo Costa State Park. Most shells are many times larger than those found on Sanibel."
