"We just returned from our stay in Sanibel Island. Unit F4 is a great location, ground floor, steps to the beach. Beautiful, private beach. During the week umbrella and chairs are awaiting your arrival and on the weekend there are chairs and umbrella on the lanai to take to the beach. The office staff is very friendly and accommodating, available for answering any questions or problems that may arise. Our unit had everything you need. It was very clean, quiet and nicely furnished. The main bathroom has been updated and very nice. There is a closet that houses a vaccuum and beach necessities(cooler, shell sifter) there is a hook up for a washer and dryer which would have been a real asset and time saver for doing laundry. The bed in the master bedroom is a queen size, that was not a problem, however, the bed was very uncomfortable. I have back problems and unfortunately it was not good. I do realize that sleeping conditions are individual and every person has their opinions. This was really the only issue we had with this wonderful unit. Aside from a Kuerig, that would be my only suggestions. It is a great vacation spot. Sanibel Arms is a lovely complex, great location, away from island congestion.. My husband and I would return here again."

  • Delightful Beachfront Condo

"Overall this was our most favorite vacation! This particular unit is on the 4th floor and directly in the middle of the unit with a spiral staircase from its lanai to the rooftop sunning deck. The view was stunning! Upon arrival we were greeted on the rooftop by a local osprey who did not seem to mind when we entered. The unit was pleasantly decorated, and there was an adequate amount of kitchenware for our stay. VIP Rentals are a well oiled operation. Everything went smoothly. We arrived early afternoon and were able to get into the unit shortly after 2:30 pm. A couple items to note. The deadbolt on the entrance is tricky to lock and unlock. I mentioned it to the staff at VIP upon departure. You have to hold the handle down longer than home for the toilet to flush, and there is no stock of anything in the condo. Be prepared to buy salt & pepper, extra toilet paper and paper towels. They give you a starter pack of 4 dishwasher tabs, a small airplane size bottle of dish soap, several garbage bags, a roll of TP and a roll of PT. You get dish towels and dish cloths, and six towels, hand towels and wash cloths and a small bar of soap. The bedroom closet is locked and the closet in the bathroom has cleaning and maintenance items in it. So, you have to be creative if you want to hang your clothes. The unit was clean, but I could tell the housekeeper did minimal cleaning. We found children's under garments left behind in the TV console. Hair and dust on the ladies dresser, and the tub seemed permanently stained dirty. For the cleaning fee we were charged, I felt we left it cleaner than when we arrived. We were listening to music on the lanai one evening and security told us to turn it off and that music was not allowed due to the echo chamber effect of the units :( The pool area is small and fills up quickly during the day. I tried several times to go swimming but there was not enough chairs. The beach is extremely close to the complex and there is a shell washing station and outdoor shower to rinse off before going back to your unit. The grills are a convenience, but the flow of gas is regulated and therefore it takes a very long time to cook your food thoroughly. We rented bikes through one of the local rental places. The bikes were delivered before we arrived and were marked with our name and lock and key were provided. The biking is fabulous on this island. We each went 10 to 30 miles a day! It was a very nice unit, but not worth the price we paid."

  • Relaxing Vacation

"Home had everything we needed. Pretty spacious, especially the master bedroom and bathroom. Easily enough room for 6 people. Pool cage allowed us to enjoy the pool in the summer without worrying about insects. Could bike to the beach access in 3 minutes, other public beach access points in 5 minutes, Ding Darling in 10 minutes and town in 8 minutes. Kayak, beach chairs, and pool rafts were nice to have. Wi-Fi, cable, and satellite radio worked well. Very quiet neighborhood. No complaints."
