  • Perfect getaway -- with kids or without!

"Wow--what a great vacation rental! Pointe Santo is a beautiful, family friendly, old-school island complex with a clubhouse, kids' activities, movie nights, a great pool, and one of the most beautiful stretches of beach in Sanibel. There are bike paths right outside the complex that will take you all over the island, and the Ding Darling reservation is right around the corner. It reminded me very much of my summers as a kid where we went back to the same set of houses with friends over and over every year--very nostalgic. And then, 46B--a penthouse unit--is just wonderful. The 4th floor view includes a nice vista of the central pond, the island, the pool, and the beach beyond. Sunset drinks on the roof deck are a must. The unit is beautifully decorated, the beds are super-comfortable, and the whimsical ships' berth bunk beds with portholes and closing shutter windows--and the fun my daughter had sleeping in them--are enough to keep us coming back for many years. Thanks for giving us such a great vacation--we loved it and would highly recommend it!"

  • Comfortable Sanibel Escape

"We really had a great vacation! This home is very clean, comfortable and well appointed. We had everything we needed and more. The layout of living space, bedrooms and bathrooms worked perfectly. The pool, fun room and balcony sitting area were great. The property is close to the beach by foot or bike. There's a shortcut off the road nearby. Restaurants (many and varied) and stores were nearby too. Debbie, the manager, was quite accommodating and responsive. The owner, Georgianna was quite thoughtful. We stayed over Christmas/New Year's and the house was seasonally decorated. She even left us all Christmas presents! That said, there are a couple things that other renters might want to know before booking. It's mostly second floor living...lots of trips up and down the stairs. And because of the climate on the Sanibel Island, the A/C has to be all the time. These aren't issues for many, but we wished we'd know in advance."

  • Clean and comfy condo!

"We chose this condo mainly because it had carpeting throughout. This was important because our 1 year old grandson still crawls everywhere and it would be easier and safer for him. The carpeting seemed new and was a nice alternative to the usual tile that is hard on your legs when you are used to hard wood or carpeting at home. The condo was VERY clean and extremely comfortable. The second bedroom was very private which was a bonus having a baby with us. The owner and management company could not have been any nicer or more helpful. They were extremely efficient in answering our questions and concerns. We mostly went to the resort pool because it was much bigger than the one close to the condo. The spa and fitness center was fabulous! You must spend some time over there! The only downside was not having the usual "starter" items available. There were packs of dishwasher and washing machine detergents but nothing for cooking in the kitchen early the next day. (salt, pepper, cooking oil etc) Starter coffee packs would have been divine :), so make sure your shopping list includes all of those products. It was pretty windy when we were there and the wind coming through the front door made a whistling sound that could be a bit disturbing. Since were weren't in the condo that much it was ok, but if you were spending time working or reading it could be distracting. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed this condo and would recommend it to anyone! It was a great location due to its proximity to Sanibel Island and Fort Myers."

  • Great Stay

"This was our first stay at Beach Road Villas and we could not be happier with the facility, location and amenities. Dave and Fred worked overtime to accommodate us for a last minute booking that turned out to be a great choice for us. The villa was clean and well stocked and the setting is beautiful - lots of flowers and shady palms. The Villa was spacious, clean and well stocked - it made for a very relaxing getaway. We especially liked the bicycles that are free for guest use. Bike paths go everywhere on the island and we spent hours exploring without having to hassle with the traffic. We brought our boat for some out island shelling and it was so convenient to have it docked 30ft from our back door. We found it to be a great step up from your normal condo vacation. We will certainly be back."
