  • Home away from Home

"We were fortunate to find this beautiful rental near Siesta Key. It is close to everything Sarasota. The home is situated on a quiet street in the heart of Sarasota. Siesta Key is minutes away. We found the rental very spacious and easy to maintain. It has a large gathering area in the kitchen and 2 distinct sitting areas with televisions. The kitchen is fully equipped and the beds are remarkable with good, firm mattresses. There are showers in each bath and a tub available. There is a dining room but most of our meals were on the kitchen island or outside in the patio area. It was nice to sit out and enjoy the lovely yard. If you bring a pet, they are able to wander freely in the fenced in yard. We always felt safe in the neighborhood and took walks daily. After a few days, it felt like home. We really enjoyed trips to Siesta Key, about 10 minutes by car. The beach is rated one of the best in the world. The pavilion offers plenty of parking but there are other areas in the village where you can park with about 10 other cars and make your day a bit more private. Swimming was great. This home is located near several popular restaurants but you need to explore the many spots that Siesta Village offers. I do not remember the names but venture into the village and everywhere you stop, you will find good food and entertainment most nights. Then it is just a short drive home. Don’t forget to check out Hillview Street and Ospry Avenue too! You can walk there and several restaurants are dog friendly. That is really the beauty of this location. Everything is nearby. We had a great time with plenty to do or not to do. The YMCA is nearby and we did get over there a couple of times. We would certainly return to this home. It was very easy to get comfortable here. Great for a couple or with plenty of room to entertain a family."

  • Great place to stay

"This property is great for kids as well as for pet owners or couples. There is a private hot tub located on the back patio and the pool is a short walk away. As pet owners we loved the fact that the condo was located next to Water Tower Park so we could walk our 2 dogs each morning. If you have kids there is a nice playground there as well as a disc golf course. The condo was immaculate and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. There were fresh towels provided as well as a stacked washer/dryer unit in the hallway. The owner went out of her way to make our stay extra special by loaning us a dog crate to use and bringing us fresh farm eggs. We felt like this was truly a home away from home and strongly recommend staying here when in the Sarasota area."

  • Lovely and Peaceful Place

"I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Bayou Bungalow. I read on the deck, relaxed in the hammock and sat on the dock where I watched pelicans dive for fish and schools of mullet pass by. There is a huge, beautiful mango tree in the back yard which was loaded with mangos, unfortunately they don't ripen until June. The cottage is clean, comfy and very homey; I wish I could have stayed all winter. It is close to downtown and all it has to offer, yet it is an older, quiet neighborhood with large trees lining the streets. The owers are gems and very friendly. They replied quickly to any questions, offered suggestions of local interests and were accommodating in every way. Thank you Tatiana and Greg. I will always think fondly of you and the Bayou Bungalow."

  • Great alternative to a hotel

"Close enough to the beach to bike, clean, and sure beats the heck out of a hotel"
