  • Great two weeks!

"The two bedroom house was perfect for my wife and I this past Thanksgiving. The home was exactly how it is described in the listing and more. We felt very comfortable and had plenty of space for two people and we also did a seafood boil for 8 people (prepared by Publix up the road) the night before Thanksgiving. The unique dining table was the perfect setting for everyone after watching the sunset. A few steps to the beach for sunset at night or a morning run the house is perfectly located. I had to contact Nancy for a few questions during the two weeks and even though she was out of town she responded very quickly. We'll be back!"

  • The home was nice and clean. One of the nicest on the street!

"This was my first time using VRBO and I was pleased. The home was nice and clean with plenty of amenities to take advantage of. There were ample towels and cookware. The kayaks, outdoor grill and fire pit were a nice plus. The location of the home was close to the beach and downtown Sarasota. The only complaint I would have is in regards to the pool. It's a great size and very clean, and I was looking forward to using it daily. We stayed for 6 days in November, and were disappointed that we were unable to use the pool, as it never heated. (The daily temperature was 80 degrees and nightly temp into the mid 60s, but the solar heated water was not able to bring the temperature above 62..brrrrrr.) The owners seem to be very nice people and I am grateful they open their home to VRBO. It was a pleasant rental experience."

  • A Great Find!

"After the winter New England had in 2015, we decided we should get out of town in 2016. We went to VRBO and applied our filters to homes in the Sarasota area. We needed a pet friendly home with a fenced in back yard for the month of March. We were lucky enough to find this great rental in Sarasota. Everything we could need was provided. The home was clean and neat. It is very centrally located to golf, beaches, good restaurants and fishing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our dog was very happy as well. We wanted to book for next year and were disappointed that it was not available for our time. Highly recommend !!!"

  • Paradise on Lido

"This past October I was fortunate enough to spend a month on Lido Key at the Ringling Retreat. Sarasota has always been my go-to vacation spot. I love the shops on St. Armand's and Lido Beach. Other activities such as the Ringling Art Museum are only a short drive away. I was especially pleased with this year's choice of places to stay. I researched online numerous hotels and motels, but decided on the Ringling Retreat. It's a house made up of several suites, and I was lucky enough to get a one bedroom. The Retreat was quiet and convenient to all the local action. Such a homey atmosphere to come back to every evening after running myself ragged, cramming all Sarasota had to offer in a month's time. I really lucked out at the Ringling! I could be as active as I wanted to be or just sit back and relax. The unit came with a small kitchen, full stove and refrigerator, table and chairs, living room with couch and chairs, TV and numerous books, maps, things to do in the area, so I could plan my day accordingly, also a comfortable queen-sized bed, and a bathroom with shower, plus a beach chair. There are two requests I have while traveling, a recliner for my bad back and a good bed with soft pillows, and I was lucky enough to get both! And an added bonus was that I never heard a peep out of the neighbors. In fact, I didn't know I had neighbors until I met them. Management was terrific. I met Mary Anne and her husband, lovely people and so accommodating. On my first night, I realized she'd left me a week's worth of fruit, a gallon jug of water, and a 6 pack of coke (an item I requested beforehand) with a nice note welcoming me. Did I mention there's a lap pool nearby for swimming at $5.00 per day. That's if you get tired of the beach! I could go on and on about my Sarasota. It's just a beautiful area and known for its pristine beaches, world class shopping, dining, and entertainment venues. Being able to enjoy Sarasota was made even more wonderful by Mary Anne and my stay at the Ringling Retreat. I highly recommend the Retreat to all, young and retired. It's a beautiful escape in a beautiful city. Did I mention that the driveway was covered in shells! (One quick note, I was there during a hurricane. Sarasota fared well, and I wasn't afraid at all. Mary Anne checked on me and even planned an evacuation had the storm gotten worse.). Look into renting the Ringling Retreat for your next vacation. You won't be disappointed!"
