  • Lovely Ringling Cottage very close (walk) to beach and St Armand's circle

"We had the opportunity to stay at one of the few authentic Ringling Cottages on Lido Key. The location was great for walks on the beach (<150yds) and walks to the lively St Armands Circle where you can find shops and restaurants. The cottage is ideally located if you'd like to bike the key. We enjoyed a full day's outing to the Circus Museum and Ringling House (both must-see) and many of the restaurants scattered along the length of Lido/Longboat Keys. We felt very welcomed by the owner and would recommend this property / return to this property. If you are looking for a place to enjoy the weather, beach, and ambiance of the Sunshine State (we did leave cold weather to enjoy), then you'll enjoy this property."

  • Room to relax!

"Five adults and a baby enjoyed this spacious Florida home. The neighborhood was perfect for us, as we have family living less than a mile away. The area is quiet, peaceful…the action is close enough when you are ready for it and this is a nice retreat. Great to be able to pull the car into a garage (with automatic opener), keeping it out of the heat, and keeping us dry during the brief but intense summer downpours. The nice open layout was good for some elderly family members, just be careful on the nice tile floors when you come in from the pool, naturally they are quite slippery when wet. Having that pool right there in the backyard, enclosed in the pool “cage” was so convenient. It was well-maintained and everyone enjoyed it. The spa was ok, spas having their natural drawbacks. We used the gas grill once, it was reasonably clean and intact. The fully-fenced backyard was nice to walk the baby through, looking at flowers/foliage. It is a real Florida backyard, so grass is thin and there is a lot of sandy soil and ants. The pool deck had lots of seating options for reading, drying out, sunbathing and eating outside. There were even a few folding chairs if you wanted to go out beyond the pool cage. The house has a lot of windows, especially in the living room/family room/kitchen, which lends a bright and cheery feel. I loved this, but we had to get creative to get the bedroom dark enough for baby. It was great to have two king-sized beds. They were comfortable. Very good closet/dresser space in both bedrooms. Queen-size pull-out sofa was about what you’d expect. Air conditioning worked well, nice to have ceiling fans. Kitchen was huge, and had a bit of everything we needed in terms of cookware, serveware etc. Seating for six at the large quirky dining table, plus two more at bar stools at the counter. We really were glad to have the washer/dryer in the garage. There were more than enough bath and beach towels for the six of us, which is saying a lot! It was good to find some pool toys/beach toys in the garage, we added a few to the collection when we left. Never met Monika, but she was easily available, just a text or phone call away. A very comfortable place to come “home” to, spread out and relax."

  • Great accommodations, with attention to every detail

"Fantastic spacious, well furnished patio and poolside. Don't want to leave the pool for the beach. Everything is either new, or very well maintained. Good number of sturdy and comfortable poolside chaises, pool toys (floaters, noodles, etc) Kitchen is stocked with all necessary appliances and supplies, including, but not limited to electric kettle, blender, ice cream scooper, full array of spices and condiments. Beds with comfortable quality mattresses, and good linen. Flat screen TVs and satellite TV throughout the house, including the patio. Strong and consistent WiFi. Had a fantastic vacation, will definitely consider returning in the future."

  • Great House , Great Location

"This is a perfect rental for St Armands . The house is just right for 4 . There were 2 of us and it was perfect. It will accommodate 6 . All usual appliances are there and the washer and dryer are almost new . The garden and pool are perfect , secluded and quiet . The pool has sun all day but the gazebo provides welcome shade. The light in the house is lovely , the main seating area is so bright and airy . Aircon perfect but you will spend all day next to the pool or at the beach , which is an easy 12 minute walk away . St Armands with all its restaurants etc is 9 minutes if you walk slowly . Being at the top end , the beaches of Longboat and Anna Maria are also easily accessible by car . The beds are very comfortable. Linens are good quality and there are plentiful towels and beach towels . The well equipped kitchen has everything a large family would want for cooking and al fresco dining ( thoughtfully lots of strong plastic plates and beakers etc . There is a coolbox in the garage along with some old beach chairs . We did buy a better brolley as the one left in the garage is weak. There is a music system to play your ipod etc through which was great for ambience by the pool , which is lit at night . Decor through out the house is fresh and suitable for a beach area location , really lovely. Overall , we cant wait to come back, this place ticked everything for us - pool, close to beach, walk to restaurants and bars and quiet . Thank you Kristie and The Fitts."
