  • Paradise on Lido

"This past October I was fortunate enough to spend a month on Lido Key at the Ringling Retreat. Sarasota has always been my go-to vacation spot. I love the shops on St. Armand's and Lido Beach. Other activities such as the Ringling Art Museum are only a short drive away. I was especially pleased with this year's choice of places to stay. I researched online numerous hotels and motels, but decided on the Ringling Retreat. It's a house made up of several suites, and I was lucky enough to get a one bedroom. The Retreat was quiet and convenient to all the local action. Such a homey atmosphere to come back to every evening after running myself ragged, cramming all Sarasota had to offer in a month's time. I really lucked out at the Ringling! I could be as active as I wanted to be or just sit back and relax. The unit came with a small kitchen, full stove and refrigerator, table and chairs, living room with couch and chairs, TV and numerous books, maps, things to do in the area, so I could plan my day accordingly, also a comfortable queen-sized bed, and a bathroom with shower, plus a beach chair. There are two requests I have while traveling, a recliner for my bad back and a good bed with soft pillows, and I was lucky enough to get both! And an added bonus was that I never heard a peep out of the neighbors. In fact, I didn't know I had neighbors until I met them. Management was terrific. I met Mary Anne and her husband, lovely people and so accommodating. On my first night, I realized she'd left me a week's worth of fruit, a gallon jug of water, and a 6 pack of coke (an item I requested beforehand) with a nice note welcoming me. Did I mention there's a lap pool nearby for swimming at $5.00 per day. That's if you get tired of the beach! I could go on and on about my Sarasota. It's just a beautiful area and known for its pristine beaches, world class shopping, dining, and entertainment venues. Being able to enjoy Sarasota was made even more wonderful by Mary Anne and my stay at the Ringling Retreat. I highly recommend the Retreat to all, young and retired. It's a beautiful escape in a beautiful city. Did I mention that the driveway was covered in shells! (One quick note, I was there during a hurricane. Sarasota fared well, and I wasn't afraid at all. Mary Anne checked on me and even planned an evacuation had the storm gotten worse.). Look into renting the Ringling Retreat for your next vacation. You won't be disappointed!"

  • Excellent stay in Sarasota!

"The house is beautiful just like the photos. Pool is amazing! Neighborhood very nice and quiet. House is very clean and fully equipped with everything needed for an amazing vacation. We will definitely be back as our daughter lives in Sarasota so we are there often. Property manager and owner are very easy to contact. They responded to a few questions we had very quickly. An amazing vacation in a very comfortable home. Thank you!"

  • Quiet and enjoyable

"I enjoyed my stay at Sky's tiny house. Sky gave me a warm welcome and made sure I had what I needed. I would recommend Sky's place to anyone who wants a different kind of get-away. The neighborhood is great! I took several walks and enjoyed the beautiful view of the bay!"

  • Older Home, Great Location

"Overall we really enjoyed our stay. I just wanted to make sure people looking to book this property understand: 1: the home is broken into two or three units & 2: it is not very small child friendly. When we initially were booking I was under the impression we were booking the entire house. Once we reserved the property, it was made clear that it was only unit in the home. I thought it wouldn't be a problem, but the neighbors did have their TV on fairly loudly most of the time and one of the bedrooms shares a wall. This wouldn't be a big deal to some, but we have a toddler who is a light sleeper. As some people pointed out the property is dated. However, for the most part it is clean. There were some mouse traps in the utility closet, and mouse traps in a kitchen cupboard that had it's base removed exposing the subfloor. Hence my not very small child friendly review. The location of the house is fantastic. We could walk to St. Armands. The beach is only 2 blocks away. So for the price I don't think you can do much better."
