  • The perfect location, community, and owner. Never equaled in my 20 years of renting in Sarasota.

"We have been vacation renting in various places in Sarasota for 20 years - sometimes for a week or two, sometimes up to 3 months. 207 Whispering Sands Drive is by far the most attractive, comfortable, trouble-free, friendly, and well-located place - by a very wide margin. Not only does it come with a car, which frees my wife to do her own thing without worrying about me, it comes with a beautiful private beach (3 minute walk in the community), 2 heated pools (1 and 3 minute walks), monthly cocktail parties, a neighborhood bridge game, and, best of all, the friendliest people you will ever meet. Almost as important to us, it is also a 1-minute walk from Siesta Village, where there are always several bands playing at 6-8 bars, 6-8 restaurants, and a lot of other nightlife. In contrast, Whispering Sands is a quiet, safe community with all the attractions of the Village just outside its entrance. The first among the friendly people of Whispering Sands is Merrill, your landlord, who is truly a nice guy, and a very accommodating one for any small problems. For example, the vacuum cleaner wasn't working well this year, so he simply asked me to go buy one and said he would reimburse for it - which he did. His check arrived 2 days later! Amazing service. The villa has clearly been furnished and cared for lovingly. All the little things are just as you would do at home if you had the time and money. The two-car garage is spotless and has a finished floor - not just concrete. The floors and showers are not tile - they are travertine marble, a beautiful touch. The TV is a 60" beauty. The towels are thick, the sheets are smooth, everything is in good order and spotless. This is not a place for rowdy spring-break vacationers, or anyone close to that. Whispering Sands is quiet and gentile, for 55 year-olds and up. There are no smoking and no pets. You must rent for at least two months and you will be required to have a background check by the Whispering Sands administration. Merrill will treat you like like one of the family, and will expect you to take care of his home with equal care. If you can do that, you will not find a better rental venue on Siesta Key, maybe anywhere! The only reason that I am letting you in on this jewel of a secret is that my wife and I have decided, after all these years, to finally buy our own slice of heaven - a similar vill"

  • Fantastic condo!

"We absolutely loved the condo! We felt at home! It was clean, and nicely furnished. The king size bed was very comfortable! My daughter used the Murphy bed and she loved it! We watched all the movies. We spent all of our days on the beach. There's no private access to the beach, but the public access is a short 5 min drive up Midnight Pass Rd. We called Johnny's original free shuttle for the first couple of days. They work for tips only. We saw that parking wasnt a problem at this time of the year, so we drove for the rest of our stay. The downtown shopping and restaurant area is about a 10 min (if so) drive away. There's a free public parking behind everything. If you are coming from the condo turn right when you see the mini doughnuts trailer and then take the next left. The parking will be on your left. There're amazing ice cream shoppes. We cooked for the most part bc we have little kids and it was easier for us. The kitchen is very well stocked. The appliances are nice and new. Mary is very prompt and easy to work with it! Thank you for a wonderful stay! We'll defenitely be renting the condo again!"

  • Awesome Xmas experience on Siesta Key

"Our family rented this condo over Christmas week. This was our first year with El Presidente and with Siesta Key; both turned out to be a great choice. This condo was very nicely decorated with just the right furniture. We enjoyed lunch out on the balcony with the pub-height patio furniture and we loved the nicely equipped kitchen for having family meals. We raided Walt's Fish Market to create a great xmas dinner. I like the fact that the pool is next to the beach. My kids are always bouncing back and forth from the beach to the pool ...proximity helps. Also the temperature on the pool was perfect. And let's not forget the beach - beautiful water and pure white sand. The family walked the beach every day collecting shells. My wife and her mother enjoyed roaming through Siesta Village; including a morning of massages at Hands of Light. The notebook in the condo gave us the suggestions for Walt's Fish Market and the Casey Key Fish House ... i recommend both but particularly the Casey Key Fish House ... loved the old Florida ambience and the food was great."

  • Awesome Turtle Beach Condo ! We actually bought a condo around the block !!

"We stayed in this awesome Turtle Beach beach condo with our son and daughter in law . We came here to look for a vacation home . There was plenty of room for four adults . Each couple had there own personal space with two nice sized bathrooms and bedrooms . The kitchen is fully stocked to cook great meals after a short drive to grocery stores etc . Great beach view from master bedroom . The screened and glassed in lanai was our favorite " room " !! We spent most of our indoor time out there . Morning coffee watching the numerous sea birds on the beach was so relaxing . The view is really spectacular ! You are right there on the beach . We ate all of our meals on the lanai . Relaxing in the evenings watching amazing sunsets . Comfortable furniture with two nice recliners and a sofa bed . Turtle Beach is beautiful and quiet , clear clean water. . We saw several turtle nests and was impressed with the wildlife rehab team that watched over the nests . Three nice restaurants within walking distance . We were so impressed with the area that we bought a condo around the block !"
