  • An Incredible Beach Vacation

    "Our month at Sea Winds in Siesta Key was perfect in every respect. The condo came fully equipped with everything we needed, even including beach chairs, umbrella, toys, etc. The location was great, literally two minutes walk from the soft white sands of Crescent Beach. The area is great for everything from sun bathing to pretty much any water sport. Also lots of great restaurants, shops, and "tiki huts" within walking distance or a short drive Lionel was very concerned with ensuring our happiness and did everything possible to make sure we enjoyed our time in his condo. We will return next year."

  • A very pleasant stay

    "Siesta Key is a beautiful gulf-side community with a fantastic beach. Parking and traffic across the two draw bridges onto the key reflect the immense tourist appeal, so booking lodging on the island is a huge plus. The triplex house in which Tangerine Dream is located is on a quiet residential street about 1.5 miles from “downtown” (The Village), but there is easy island-wide daytime access via the provided bikes. We stayed for the month of Feb 2017 in this unit, which is spacious for a 1 bedroom, with comfortable furniture and a well-equipped kitchen. Outside seating on the front porch and in the shady backyard are pluses, as is the shed containing bikes and beach equipment. Be aware that the oven and dishwasher are “apartment sized”, creating some limitations for serious cooking. The structure is old, and the windows provide little security, even from the geckos that prowl outside and sometimes inside; we had no problems with this situation, but it's worth noting. There is a privacy issue because the washing machine and dryer are located in a breezeway on the back of the house, and are shared among the three apartments. The two 1st floor bathroom windows open directly into the breezeway, so that when laundry is being done, people may be suddenly standing a foot or two from your eye-level bathroom window, which is often open because there is no exhaust fan. There are good shades to close, and we got used to this arrangement, but we are relatively immodest. Guests that are very sensitive to the prospect of being heard or glimpsed through the bathroom window should take note. During our stay, the washing machine was in serious disrepair, and needed frequent re-balancing of its contents, multiplying the traffic (and noise) there. We called the owner's attention to the washing problem, and received feedback that it would be replaced, but it didn't happen during our stay. The other residents live there on a permanent basis, and they were friendly and courteous during our stay and steered us to a number of activities we might have overlooked. There is plenty of parking to accommodate all three units. The house cleaner and de-facto on-site manager Sondra was very helpful and a good person with whom to become acquainted. Our rental included a mid-month cleaning. The cost for one month during high season was comparatively very attractive versus condos near the beach, so potential renters may overlook the shortcomings for the savings."

  • Our Third Year at the Treehouse!

    "We first stayed here three years ago from January 1st until February 15th. We were immediately impressed with not only the property, but the owner as well. The home is not only spacious (it can sleep more guests than we ever care to invite) but is uniquely divided into suites allowing multiple couples their space and privacy. It is located only a few blocks from the beach, and a short bike ride or drive to the village. We have two small dogs, so the quiet, canopy covered street made us very comfortable walking them each day. Last year we stayed from January 1st until March 1st. Upon our arrival , I noticed the gas grill seemed to be on its last leg. I commented to the owner that it seemed as such and Later that afternoon he appeared with a brand new one. Stephen, the owner, has shown to us over the three years that he is wholly committed to the enjoyment of renters during their stay. This year, we arrived December 15th, and are booked through March 1st. Days after our arrival, we noticed one of the older AC units was not working. Stephen had it serviced two days later, which is no minor feat at Christmas. The house and pool area are comfortable and very conducive to not only entertaining, but also just hanging out. We have been able to get to know the permanent residents on the street. All are very nice and very accepting of renters, which is not always the case in many locations. Stephen continues to upgrade the property, which is already suitable and to our liking, but he understands that not all renters treat a rental like it is their own home and sometimes wear and tear can be excessive. He replaced the microwave and dishwasher this year, as well as resurfaced the upper deck, and repainted many areas. We have rented multiple homes over the years on VRBO as well as other sites. This is by far our favorite property, our home away from home if you will, and by great measure, the most responsive and likable owner. We highly recommend it!"

  • Beautiful condo, in an excellent location.

    "We stayed here after finding Sue and Steve's condo on homeaway.com. From my mothers first phone conversation with Sue, last Summer, to the moment we left, everything was perfect. Not only does the condo have a great view of Crescent Beach, but it was a lot larger than expected, perfectly maintained and convenient to great shopping, restaurants and Stickney Point Road (Route 72). Hope to return soon."
