"My daughter and I stayed at Kalvin and Erin's home on Venice Island for three weeks while our own home was being renovated. In that sense, it wasn't a vacation stay, but it felt like one. The lovely backyard with its wooden privacy fence, citrus trees and comfy outdoor furniture was a great place to relax. Our little dog absolutely loved the yard. We enjoyed the neighborhood, too, which is quiet and has a nice feeling about it. It's about a 10-minute walk to the beach (or a very short drive, if you are taking lots of "stuff" with you) or to Venice Avenue's shops and restaurants. The bells of nearby St. Marks Episcopal Church ring softly on the hour, very pretty. Inside the home, everything is bright and clean, with a white and pastel Florida/Tommy Bahama decor. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is newly renovated, very bright, with new appliances. It offers easy access to a small screened porch and the backyard. The washer and dryer are just off the screened porch in a small room. Erin and Kalvin responded to any questions we had promptly and were helpful and pleasant. We will definitely recommend this property to friends and family from out of town."
