"We met here from out of state with family we had in Georgia for the 4th of July. It was a great location for meeting. Carol worked with us when Our pet sitter became unavailable, and she allowed us to bring out pets for an added deposit. We really appreciated it. She was fairly quick to respond and the house was very cute. The property is Right next to a boat ramp which was nice for us to drop jet skis in. We also rented a boat which wasn't far from the location. The private dock listed for use with the rental was taken by the owners boat. The public dock was available but isn't really meant for all day use (it's right in front of the ramp) & the tie downs were pulling out of the dock. A neighbor let us use his slip which was very kind of him.
The place was very comfortable. Fit 9 of us perfectly. The kitchen.dining area were great for sharing meals together. The back deck overlooking the lake was very comfy. Also, a patio on the ground floor out back that's comfy. The bedrooms upstairs were large, the bedroom on the main floor was a nice size & had a bathroom attached to it. The downstairs bedroom was small but also had an attached bathroom. The grill unfortunately did not work when we got there, the regulator was broken. It looked new so I'm assuming they replaced it, but luckily for us we had family nearby who just swapped theirs out with the broken one while we were there. An added bonus were the large 3 person kayaks on the side of the house. They were a lot of fun.
Overall, we had a really great time. The only suggestions I would make is to ask ahead of time what you need to bring with you, as we weren't expecting to have to buy toilet paper and garbage bags (there were only 2 bags and 3 rolls of TP for 9 of us for 4 nights.). Also, be prepared to take your own garbage to a site about 10 minutes away. We had family there with a truck so it wasn't a huge deal, but putting 4 days worth of it in our car would have not been pleasant.
Otherwise, very affordable and very comfortable!"
