  • Home away from home

"Chandler House is Home for us in Augusta. Our family has been through quite a few storms lately, but we still try to gather in Augusta once a year, and unfortunately because of our schedules, it has to be in the summer. This year, 14 of us, ranging from age 10 to 88, were together for five days in August('a'). Five of those people live in Augusta; four others stayed at the Marriott downtown as we always used to do, but last year when those four were not able to make it, we branched out and tried VRBO and Chandler House. We were welcomed and comforted, and this year was the same. We would never go back to the impersonality and cramped spaces of a hotel. Myself, my husband, daughter and husband, and other daughter stayed very comfortably at the house (thank goodness for air conditioning). Although we all live in the Seattle area, it was a treat to spend the time with them all. We all naturally gravitated to "our" original bedrooms from last year, where we feel comfortable and sleep well. My married daughter and husband were over the moon about the new ensuite bathroom in their room. It's to die for. We threatened to take it from them, but they defended it successfully. I can't say our Augusta trip this year was all fun and roses, but Chandler House certainly helped. We had several impromptu gatherings and a more formal dinner there. The house is well equipped for both. As always, the landlady and caretaker provided more than personal care... shopping for groceries for our late-night arrival, so we didn't have to hit the grocery store at 1 a.m., and baking our favorite corn bread. We thank them, and hope to return again and again."

  • Great place with everything you need plus some

"Beds are very comfortable. Backyard was a great place to hang out and well suited for our dog. It's a unique house with old charm. We were well taken care of and the owner did awesome with communicating with us before and during our stay! Will stay again!"

  • Welcome home!

"This is an amazing home, filled with warmth and charm. We stayed here during our visit to The Masters golf tournament. This house was just 10 minutes from Augusta National. The owners made sure we had all the necessary conveniences of home. The key was left in a lock box inside the screened-in back patio. The two bedrooms were beautifully decorated, and we even made dinner one night when we were too exhausted to eat out. I'd recommend this home to anyone. The owners were the best!"

  • Perfect Masters Experience! Location, Location, Location!

"We just spent Golf Week 2016 in Augusta to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. We booked this home 1 year in advance of the 2016 Masters without any tickets in hand! We are thrilled that we did! This house was very clean, looked almost new, and had everything you need for a home away from home. When we arrived the owners had bottles of water and cold beers in the fridge as well as a basket of snacks waiting for us. In the basket was also lanyards for us to use for the week and a map/booklet of Augusta National. The beds were very comfortable & towels large and soft. The owners emptied more than enough drawers in the bedroom and cabinets in the kitchen for our use. The owner was very accommodating & when we had an issue with the TV, he called us right away to walk us through it's operation. There is outdoor seating where we enjoyed our private happy hours after being on the course all day. The course is in walking distance - about 1.5 miles, but there are no sidewalks so we zigzagged through parking lots for safety. There were plenty of people walking, although parking at August National is free. All the restaurants & bars & grocery stores are in walking distance (i.e. Bonefish, Hooters, Carrabba's, etc). We had a great time watching Friday's competition at "Somewhere in Augusta" (sports bar). There is Mexican Restaurant, with outside eating and plenty of TVs, literally in the "back yard" of the home - we ate there 2 times, the tortilla chips are served warm. We ordered our practice round badges from StubHub and StubHub has an office set up right next to the Publix, which is, again, in walking distance. We had no problem picking up our badges. Along the main road, Washington Rd, there are people re-selling badges, but they are not abundant. We did walk up on Thursday morning and purchase our badges for the 1st day of competition from a reseller & avoided the StudHub additional fees. Overall, we highly recommend this home for a week in Augusta for the Masters. You will not be disappointed."
