  • Lovely Secluded Lake House Getaway

"We have a retail family business in Melbourne, Florida. Our children have worked along side us for many years. I thought it would be nice this year to plan a family vacation in the mountains of Georgia and especially I was looking for direct access to a lake for us all to enjoy. The Robinson Lake home was perfect. There is various areas in and around the home for our family of 10 to spread out and enjoy some quiet moments by ourselves. This large spacious home and property was exactly what I was looking for. The home is immaculate and very comfortable. Besides an extra large frying pan for our large family breakfasts we had everything we needed. The home is situated on Jackson Lake approximately 500' from the main waterway. You can fish or swim off the back yards retaining wall or go into the water from the beach area. We rented a Ponton Boat from Jackson Lake Marina for two days during our stay. We were able to tie off the boat overnight to the trees. They even gave us a large tube to use. Everyone had a ball tubing. The Robinsons had ski's there but we figured out if there are more then three in the pontoon boat you can't get enough power to get your skier up. Jackson lake is pretty large with many inlets that showcase lovely homes. The Robinson home is surely in the top 10 of beautiful homes that line the shoreline. The property is secluded from the neighboring homes. It was very peaceful and serene. My daughter- inlaw swears one night she seen a small cub scurrying about the property? If you rent this home expect to be off the grid while you're there. Occasionally we were able to get a signal at the end of the driveway or near the metal shed, if that doesn't work travel 10-15 miles down the mountain to get a connection. Being my children were all with me I didn't worry about them too much. I was worried more about my 83 year old Mom who I like to check on frequently. I also worried if someone got hurt how would we call for help? A local landline or yes WiFi is definitely needed in case of emergencies. We stayed 8 days and made several trips down the moutain to shop. Unfortunately the frigerator down stairs didn't work so we used our coolers for drinks. Overall we had a wonderful much needed retreat away from our everyday hectic lives. We certainly made some great memories. It was hard to leave! Thank you Amy for sharing your beautiful home. Kindest Regards, Lisa"
