  • WORTH THE WAIT!

"My husband and I have wanted to visit Sapelo for over 15 yrs and we finally made it happen! We stayed for 10 days. Owner and host, Gibb, is pleasant, polite, attentive to needs, and knowledgable about the island and its' history. Gibb answered all of our pre-arrival questions in a timely manner. The cottage is exactly as pictured, if not better. The cottage was immaculately clean upon our arrival. He shared his fresh caught fish with us and his natural Sapelo Island Teas, which he is harvesting, processing, and packaging. We rented bikes from Gibb and traveled the entire island. Highlights: the solitude, the natural environment, the Birds!, The Sapelo Nature Trail, R J Reynolds Mansion, and the natural beauty. One of our favorite spots was the dock at Moses Hammock. We would take a backpack of binoculars, bird book, bug spray!, and our lunch. Sat on the dock for hours watching eagles and osprey snatching fish from the river, a fisherman tending to his crab pots, and the incredible swift tide of 7 -8' coming in/out. Sapelo Island is a gem for those that can appreciates its' history and natural beauty."

  • Super comfy bed and ideal location

"My husband and I were celebrating 16 years of marriage and decided to visit Savannah. We had never been. I'm sure we'll be back again soon though. The condo is in a super location - pretty much in the middle of everything. The river was just a few block away as was Forsyth Park and everything in between. We stayed Friday to Monday and were able to park in front of the condo all weekend (and free). The condo was a great size for 2 people. We didn't really use the kitchen since there were so many yummy dining options around. The bed was really comfortable and the front sitting area a nice place to make a plan for the day. If you are a party of 2 looking for a comfortable place to stay while visiting for a few days, I would definitely recommend this unit. Someone previously mentioned the water pressure in the shower, which we noticed, too. Had it not been for that, we would have given the unit 5 stars. All in all, we had a great stay and the condo was comfortable and well located. We will stay here again for sure on our next weekend trip."

  • Enjoyed our stay

"We had a short 4 day stay over St. Patricks Day weekend. The condo was very clean and was as stated on the VRBO site. The entire property was clean and very well maintained. The rental staff as well as the maintenance staff were very friendly and most accommodating. We enjoyed the view from the balcony, as well as watching several ships navigate the Savannah river. We took a leisurely walk on the beach to the ocean. Very quiet and relaxing area on the island. It is a short 20 minute drive into the Savannah historic district where we shopped and ate lunch. The only cons we found were there was no working outdoor faucet to rinse the sand off your shoes before going into the condo, and there were no luggage carts available. Given the unit was on the second floor, we had to make several trips on the elevator. All and all, we had a very enjoyable experience and will definitely consider going back."
