  • Perfect, immaculate Oceanfront Condo!

"The owner was very helpful with our last minute trip. He had the maid service come with little notice, and they did a perfect job. The condo was as immaculate as it was beautiful! It's a very small condo building, so privacy isn't an issue.. Everything was provided, the beds are comfortable and the decor is beautiful - nothing beats the ocean view and proximity though. A very relaxing getaway in a beautiful, quaint town with great restaurants. Thanks for making everything great!"

  • A home away from home

"This was our 5th summer staying at this property, so it really has become our home away from home. My 6 year old daughter thinks this is "our" summer home. Every year the owner surprises us with new upgrades. This year we walked in on nice new vinyl plank flooring and new dining room set. Although there are a lot of stairs to climb, every room is somewhat private. My in laws stay in the first level bedroom while my family stays in the 3rd level bedroom and we all either hang out in the living/dining area which is on the second floor or on top of the perch enjoying the ocean breeze and ocean view. We typically stay busy during the day (cycling to the village to eat and shop, crabbing with our kids on the pier or playing on the beach). We also usually take a day trip to Jekyll Island Summer Waves which is about a 30 min. drive from St. Simons. We love vacationing at Saint Simons every year and coming back to this condo because it IS "The Best Location on St. Simons". Not only is it walking distance to the King and Prince Resort, the package store, the Ocean Motion store where you can rent bikes, kayaks, shop for clothes, it is also walking distance to nice restaurants from delicious shellfish to BBQ. I highly recommend this place. It is a great value."

  • Best Summer Vacation Ever

"My family rented Righteous Oaks for a month. It was the best trip we have ever taken. The house has everything you need. We have 5 teenagers and the house was plenty big for all of us. The porch was great for late night games and early morning reading. The house is perfectly located between the beach and the village. We went to the beach straight down Myrtle Street (take a left from the house and go until you see Myrtle on the right.) It had beach even at high tide. We also went to the Coast Guard Station but it was a haul to the beach because it is such a wide beach. But it has bathrooms and more space to play games and such. Both places were great though. We rode our bikes EVERYWHERE!! Because we were so close to the village and to Crab Daddy's and Crab Trap, someone would ride to a restaurant and make reservations while everyone else was getting ready and then we all returned just in time for our table to be called. We went to Gould's Inlet at the end of East Beach. You can fish and crab there. At low tide you can go across the mouth of the creek and go onto a little island and hunt for shells - best to go by kayak or paddleboard. The currant is strong there. We brought our own kayaks so we went up in the creeks at East Beach and paddled around. The kids crabbed at the pier several times - usually giving the crabs away to the locals that were crabbing there as well. Great Places: Breakfast - Mallory Street Cafe Lunch - Brogans- Village; Beachcomber Happy Hour - Catch 228 - Redfern Village - 1/2 price oysters 4-6 daily. Dinner - Crab Daddy's (Mostly grilled); Iguanas (best fried shrimp); Barbara Jean Dessert - St Simons Sweets, FroYo, ZUZU Bike rental - Two Brothers Bike Shop - we had to repair some of our bikes and they repaired them plus did tuneups on them - charging only for the parts. Very nice!!! Ocean Motion is also a great place to rent bikes. They have a variety of bikes to choose from. Some Off the beaten path day activities: Sea Island Horse Stables - we didn't ride, we just walked around and petted the horses. Cannon Point Reserve - nice nature walk/bike trails. Beautiful. Open Sat/Sun/Mon - North end The Farm at Oatland North - Next to the Reserve. This is a farm for retired or rescued horses and other farm animals - open Sundays 2-4. Donna is great to work with. We will definitely do this again. Our family loved our vacation and the house was perfect, Thanks so much!!! Ashley M."
