  • Great larger family vacation house at the beach

"We vacationed at this historic house with our three grown children, their spouses and four young children aged 2 to 7 years old - 12 people in all. This house has a huge chef-friendly kitchen with virtually everything a chef needs to prepare any kind of meal including a modern large stove, lots of prep area, large refrigerator, two sinks and dishwashers and lots of pots, pans, utensils, china and glasses. Our family has 2 chefs and we ate like kings all week. The dining room is huge and can easily seat 14 adults at one large table and we enjoyed sitting together for all of our meals. The rest of the house is also big. The house is old being built around 1900 and has the original woodwork, doors, and many of the windows. The five bathrooms are a combination of one porcelain bathtub without shower off the master bedroom, and others are bathtub with shower or just a shower. Besides a lot of room inside the three story house, there is a huge porch on both the first and second floors on three sides of the house that make relaxing early in the morning or late at night easy, or to find a quiet spot away from other guest. There is a beautiful lawn in front with large gazebo. There is a library with lots of reading material, especially books about the history of Tybee Island and Georgia's coastal wildlife and attractions. There are several flat screen cable TVs to entertain young and old kids as well as state-of-the-art WiFi. There is a large charcoal grill in the yard off the kitchen door for grilling outside. The beach is a very short walk from the front steps. Prior to and during our stay, I had conversations with three of the owners (all part of one family that grew up in the house) who were friendly, helpful and gracious. This house exudes history and is a great example of 100 year old architecture and charm. Any house this old shows some wear and tear but the experience makes up for any minor visual flaws. Imagine how you would look if you were over 100 years old! Location is great with stores, churches, restaurants, fort, and lighthouse very close. And the beach was magnificent with very few people on the beach because most houses on the beach in this part of the island are all private homes with very limited public beach access."

  • A welcome surprise

"we stayed from July 18th through the 22nd. The condo was larger than most we have ever rented clean and very very well furnished with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and bathrooms,,,many many towels . It is an easy walk to the beach ,and parking was easy and gated. The pools were small only one real pool small, and very crowded and 2 wading pools, but we were there for the beach. The owners were gracious and accommodating and easy to deal with. There were beach umbrellas in the condo and it is located right beside the elevator, but you never hear the elevator,,,we loved it !!"

  • Amazing home for a Tybee Get away

"I would highly recommend this house for a Tybee Island getaway. We had 16 people in our group and had plenty of space for all of us to get ready. The house is well kept with great appliances, nice kitchens/Bathrooms, and really cute comforters in all rooms! Perfect for a girls weekend or large family. Walking distance to fun bars/restaurants as well as the beach. I will definitely be checking on this house for future trips."

  • Wonderful Weekend!!

"My family was in Tybee this weekend for my niece's wedding, and the accommodations were great and the weather beautiful! We had six adults staying in the condo, and everyone was very comfortable and impressed with the cleanliness, nice decor, comfy beds, etc. (even my picky mom)! I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Tybee. The pool area was nicely kept with shaded areas for those who burn easily. Having a poolside bar and restaurant within steps is a huge plus. We took a short drive to dinner at the Crab Shack one night where we always enjoy great food and a fun atmosphere! We also got in some exercise by walking to the Sunrise Cafe for breakfast each morning. We plan to return soon for a longer stay, and I definitely hope this rental is available!"
