  • Relaxing & quiet cove with great house

"Our family with 3 teenagers spent a full week in mid June at this beautiful and super clean home. The weather was very hot with mid 90's every single day. Everyone enjoyed slipping into the lake to cool off using the dock ladder. The home was so nice with all the woodwork, very clean and had everything we could possibly want. The boys fished every day and caught something each time. Fish not huge and only a few each trip but considering the temperatures can't complain. Also did a little trout fishing a short distance away in a mountain creek During the week it was very quiet in the cove and even out on the lake very few boats. House is nicely shaded with easy walk to water. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice quiet place to relax."

  • Perfect stay at Deer Cove Cottage

"We had a wonderful stay at Deer Cove Cottage. The large screened porch and open upstairs layout with the great outdoor view made for a great weekend. I cannot say enough about the owner(s). Heather was always very responsive, flexible, answered all questions very promptly and was a pleasure to work with for our stay. The kitchen is well equipped and the house was nicely decorated and well maintained. The location near Tugaloo State Park is convenient to restaurants and stores for any last minute needs. We highly recommend Deer Cove Cottage for anyone visiting Lake Hartwell. We will definitely return for another stay."

  • A week at the Lake

"We enjoyed the peaceful days and time spent with family. The lake was beautiful and we were all comfortable in this beautiful home. The pool was great and we had fun playing pool volleyball...got a little sunburn. We sat on the pier and my Dad didn't catch any fish but he caught a big turtle. He had a blast. The kayaks and the ping pong table were a big hit. We left video games at home and played board games at night. I found myself sitting on the deck and managed to read that book that has been collecting dust. We rented a pontoon boat one day and went tubing. We went sight seeing, seen waterfalls and ate at The Spotted Pig. My sisters family hit the golf course for a round of golf. How nice not having the usual hustle and bustle of vacation. Our family all needed some quality down time. The house more than met our needs and I highly recommend it to any family that needs to slow down and reconnect."

  • Will not be disappointed

"This cottage is adorable. We loved the master suite and the cute bunk room for the kids. My favorite spot was the covered porch with the hammock and fans to keep you cool. The walk to the lake is level and easy. Although it's just a platform dock we brought a canopy to keep on the dock and had plenty of room for chairs and tied up a boat and jet skis. The cove is busy but we were still able to swim off the dock just fine. The owner made great use of the space and it's very cozy and clean. You may feel far from things but it wasn't a bad drive to get to the grocery store maybe 13 minutes. We loved this cottage and would stay here again. The owner is super nice and more than willing to help you find what you need."
