  • Great little cabin and perfect location!

"The Contentment Cabin was just what we were hoping for an escape from the city over New Years Eve. Very comfy and cozy. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, the fireplace was warm with plenty of firewood, and the bed was comfy. Owner Kim was very prompt answering any questions that we had. The cabin was easy to find and not too far from the I-85. However, you definitely felt like you were in the country. The property is located on a great section of the lake with a deep river channel not far from the dock. Even with the lake down as it is right now, the dock was accessible. I launched my kayak and was catching fish under docks just on the other side of the channel. I can imagine that this would be a great location in the summer time for boating, swimming, and fishing. The wi-fi worked well and they even had an old school stereo system that sounded great after we found a good little country station. The tv worked fine (you only need the Direct TV white remote, not any of the other remotes to turn off/on the tv/cable). My only complaint was that we couldn't find ESPN for the football games or CNN for NYE coverage, but hey, we didn't come up here to watch tv. Loved the old Jenn Aire stove top with built in grill, worked pretty good for us with grilling some steaks and chicken. Make sure you bring some charcoal if you want to use the grill outside (it's in a little rough shape). Overall, the cabin could stand some minor updates and maybe a little decluttering, but it was perfect for us. Thanks to the Immels for sharing a little piece of your family cabin with us. We will be back in the summer time for sure!!!!"

  • Perfect Weekend

"This house was perfect! It had everything you needed and more. We are already planning our next trip to this house! We had 4 adult couples. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen was huge and had a giant dining room table perfect for all of us to have a meal. We will definitely be back."

  • Very cute lakefront home.

"We booked this home last minute and Megan was very easy to work with. The directions she provided were spot on. The lake level was really down so we did not get to enjoy the dock. I do know if the water level was at full pull it would have been perfect. The house was really cute and had so much charm. We enjoyed the fire pit. The kids loved the basement with the ping pong table. We brought corn hole and plenty of room to play. Just loved the wrap around deck. Had breakfast and coffee on the back deck, very cozy. May need to replace the mattress in the master and make sure the propane tanks are full. Thanks Megan for letting us enjoy Lone Star. I would recommend!!"

  • Great value for the price!

"If you're looking for a 'get away from everyone and everything' property then this is the place to escape to. It's situated in a quiet gated community at the end of an inlet on Lake Hartwell. The property is perched high above the lake surrounded by trees, so nice and private. There is a steep path leading to and from the lake but my inlaws, who are in their 70s, managed to climb it each time with no trouble. We had 8 adults and our border collie staying and there were ample space for us all without feeling on top of each other. The house was clean and well stocked with kitchen utensils. Plenty of tables and chairs for us all to sit outside to eat. Nearest grocery store is about a 20 minute drive away (Ingles in West Anderson, offering great customer service!). If you don't fancy cooking, we highly recommend J Peters in Anderson (30 minuete drive) awesome food and service. All in all a fab week in a great place and location, even our dog loved it, spending most of his time swimming with us in the lake."
