  • Lovely home right on the river, great location!

"Our group of seven (four adults, three children) had a wonderful stay at White Rapids Retreat! The sound of the river was so relaxing that we found ourselves having coffee, meals and cocktails outdoors or in the screened in porch every day. The house is well-stocked with the majority of items we needed for the week so other than groceries, we had very little to purchase once we arrived. Love that our two Golden Retrievers were welcome--they had as much fun in the river as the kids did. We will definitely book this home again in the future, beautiful spot! Highly recommend a hike up to Anna Ruby Falls and the treetop canopy zip line in Helen if you can tear yourself away from the river for a few outings."

  • Charming & Cozy Cabin!

"We had a great time at this lovely little mountain retreat! Cindy was so kind and easy to work with when we booked the cabin and made some great recommendations for events and activities to check out as well as restaurants in the area to try. When we arrived, Tim was so warm and welcoming as he took us up to the cabin, explained all the features and where to find the things we needed, and answer any questions we had. The cabin itself has beautiful high ceilings that made it feel spacious and open. On the front porch there were rockers to enjoy while sipping your morning coffee and listening to all the birds wake up. It was so peaceful! Because it's a little off the beaten path (but still easily accessible and found!) you don't here traffic noises or late night party goers. The downstairs hot tub was so relaxing after a long day of hiking, ziplining, and exploring the area. The bed was comfy, the air conditioning worked great, and overall it was the perfect size for just the two of us. The hike up the hill in front of the property caught us off guard at first, but it's not too bad. The only difficulty we had was taking some of our stuff up thanks to odd shapes and sizes but walking up and down itself is doable. There's a lovely little creek out front as well which adds to the calm and peaceful atmosphere. I'd highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for some R&R and we will definitely return again!"

  • Fabulous

"We stayed here at almost perfect time of year, maybe two more weeks and it would have been perfect. There are so many beautiful wild flowers, and flowering pots all around the house and the blueberries were not quite ripe. The land is gorgeous, surrounded with hard woods. The area down by the river is huge and very peaceful. The walk down is easy, but the walk back can be brutal if not in good shape! I can't explain how special the house is. The layout is wide open and the art all around inside and out has you constantly finding something new. There are three living areas, one on each floor. The kitchen is fully stocked. Two very nice decks to enjoy the fresh air, listen to the birds. Multiple seating areas out front as well. The owner is very gracious and responsive. This was a girl's weekend plus two six year olds, so the beauty of it all was particularly appreciated. I know I am gushing here, but the house and grounds are so eclectic. Pictures really can't give it justice. The home was very clean. I will be suggesting this home to girlfriends for get aways."
