  • Large space for getaway

"My family, my best friend and her kids all stayed in this house for four nights in July. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out. There are basically two wings of the house with two bedrooms each. The kitchen was well equipped with anything you would need for meal prep. The pool table and the pinball machine were huge hits. I will warn you, however, that the house is not very toddler friendly. There are very steep stairs going down to the garage area and a beautiful (but not very safe) wrought iron spiral staircase going up to the balcony. There are huge open gaps in the railings and the balcony itself was very low. We just didn't let the kids up there and blocked off the stairways with furniture so the two-year old in our group wouldn't wander! There was plenty of space for our six kids in spite of this, though. The beauty of this unique home and the peaceful location were truly special!"

  • beautiful, quiet, relaxing, clean

"This cabin was exactly as stated and more. The stream was so nice and relaxing, the back deck was so comfortable, shaded, such a nice cool breeze. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed (Home away from home) we only had breakfast there, all utensils, pots and pans and dishes. The stereo had outside speakers as well. Just a short drive to town. I would definitely give this 5 stars and we hope to go back again this fall/winter and will request this cabin. Debbie and Dean"

  • Great place for everyone!!

"We plan our Summer vacations and it was difficult to please a 1, 4 and 12 year old boys... But with these cabin it was very easy.. The cabin is in a private street with 8 more cabins, one is very close but definitely that didn't bothered us... . Our kids enjoy the creek, although the water was very cold they spend quite while searching and throwing rocks... My husband and I love the hot tub, and my teen the high speed internet... The cabin it's very, clean and cozy... You will find everything you need.. Make sure print the Directions to the cabin with the instructions to get in, we set the alarm and they almost send police over, I guess these could be a great Facebook picture LoL... There's no cellphone service but you can still have access to your messages... And in case you might need it the cabin has a telephone... We went to the Anna Ruby Falls that are about 25 minutes from the cabin at the Unicoi State Park, the cost is $3 per adult, kids and pets are free, they had lots of activities on the lake so you can spend a great time... Also we visited Helen, a beautiful German little town. You must go to Bigg Daddy's the best restaurant there, just make sure not be so starving cause you could be in a waiting list about 15 to 25 minutes... Enjoy our family nights at the cabin, watching movies, grilling steak and hamburgers on the grill gas, listen to the rain on the cover deck... You only need to bring all the food, oil, species, salt just in case, paper towels, shampoo, soap,... and just enjoy a nice stay... Thank You so Much Tracy For Sharing these awesome Place with Us..."

  • A unique setting for a great family time

"Our family stayed for the second time at the double cabins on the river in June 2016 (first time was July 2014). Our ages ranged from 13 months to 67 years and once again we had a great time. The "park" area gave the generations something fun to do any time we weren't tubing on the river, and the location is excellent for people watching! Close enough to walk into town (shout out to Betty's for having nearly everything we forgot!), and we made friends yet again with another multi-time family in one of Tim and Cindy's other cabins. Tim and Cindy are great - they were always responsive to our questions, even if it was just "where's the best pizza in Helen" questions. If you get bored staying here, it's your own fault -- just explore the two cabins and you'll stay charmed!"
