  • A Wonderful Lake Burton Experience

"Our family vacation at this property was exceptional. The home is clean and offers room to spread out or enjoy being all together in one spot. The kitchen is practical, and the eating space plentiful. The bedrooms are versatile for couples, singles and children. The living space is simple with room to kick back and watch a movie, play games or enjoy a full on family ping pong or pool tournament. The setting of the house allows views of the lake while enjoying the lush shade of the woods. The dock and boathouse are great places to gather by the water. We like up the river out of the way of boat traffic, but enjoy a short boat ride out into the main body to take in the beautiful views of moutains and lake. We are looking forward to a return visit to this terrific lake house."

  • Outstanding Views and Boathouse

"We travel to the northeast Georgia region yearly, and this was our favorite rental to-date. The views are what you are paying for, and they don't get any better than here! We really enjoyed the boathouse and swimming in the water - Lake Burton is so clean and refreshing. While there we also went to the Dahlonega Wine Trail as well as Yonah Mountain and Stonewall Creek wineries. Our only regret was that we didn't rent a boat for our stay. Lake Burton is beautiful, and this house is situated beautifully on the Lake so you can enjoy the views from the house and the boathouse. We hope to be back next year."

  • Great place for us to celebrate a special occasion.

"Our nephew rented this house for a family celebration and it was a great place. First off the owners had a bottle of wine, a cake and a monogrammed apron waiting for my nephew and wife. Everything we could need was there. The kitchen and house was stocked better than many others high end rentals we have had on the ocean. Makes a big difference when you really have to cook in. The pontoon rented from the owner was perfect and a must have on this beautiful lake. You just can't enjoy this lake without a boat and the pontoon allows all to go out together. We spent many hours on top of the boat house sunning, reading in the shade, coffee in the am and dinner at sunset. Also loved the platform dock and the Lilly pad to swim to and sun or just hang on. So many places on the property to enjoy. The lovely flowered patio to sit and enjoy the decorative fire accent piece or sit around a wood burning fire pit. Next walk down the path towards the water with a lovely stream flowing towards the lake with a hammock and two person swing at different points along the way. Only thing is I wish it had a fourth bedroom and one more bath to bring my whole family back. This is a great place with owners who care."

  • Cozy, Inviting and Absolutely Adorable!

"My husband and I spent the weekend at the Chocolate Mousse and absolutely loved it! It's a small, cozy and inviting little cabin at a great location. The decorations are so fun, the cabin and all linens are very clean. Our only small negative was the humidity level in the cabin and the closeness of the neighbors - let me specify that the neighbors are not disturbing at all, there's just a lot of open windows! But that did not interfere with our enjoyment in the least. The kitchen had everything we needed including a gas stove and iron skillets to my husbands excitement. There's a washer, dryer, table, games, and even TV and internet if you fill the need. Saving the best for last was the amazing screened in porch - I could have just stayed there forever! Just so cozy! Of course we did get out some too! Just 2 miles from the cabin is the marina on Lake Burton where we rented paddle boards and ate dinner. We also visited Clayton (about a 30 minute drive) which is a cute, little, historic downtown with different shops, galleries and restaurants. Fortify Pi is a pizza place downtown that we loved! (It's sister restaurant is next door serving a more traditional menu - I've heard great things about it as well.) Saturday afternoon we enjoyed a wine tasting at Stonewall Creek Vineyard which was delightful and refreshing. So if it wasn't obvious - we definitely plan to visit Chocolate Mousse and the surrounding area again soon!"
