  • Not a bad stay

"The first impression was ok, the lake was barely visible from the top floor balcony, which unfortunately requires going through the master bedroom. The blinds to both patios were busted and wouldn't operate. Wifi is provided, but we couldn't not get it to work through our stay. On the plus side, there was plenty of room, the kitchen was nice, the bathrooms (esp the master) were large and spacious, and there was a 2 car garage for our vehicles. The location is hard to find through GPS so follow the written instructions and you will be fine. There are 2 sets of stairwells so if you bring small children, make sure you bring a baby gate."

  • Wonderful Vacation

"First off the cabin was wonderful! Very accommodating and had lots to offer. Before arriving we discussed various things with the owner and they were very helpful and even contacted the HOA since we encountered a car issue (4 cars). Upon arrival we did find that the house was unlocked which was a little weird but I think the cleaning crew had just been there because it smelled of Pine Sol (not a bad smell!!). The house is very spacious and had ample room for all 8 of us to be comfortable. The kitchen and grill worked great for all of our home cooked meals. There were great rafts and they served us well in the river! Hanging down by the river is great all day long!! The pool was nice but there is a rule that only allows 6 people so not fun if all 8 of you want to hang out together. There are a good bit of other rules that go along with the pool so be careful and enjoy the amenity! The hot tub back at the cabin works well but the hot tub cover was deteriorating and left a good bit of Styrofoam in the water that stuck to you when you got in/out. The map on the wall in the hallway is very helpful for finding wineries/waterfalls/things to do in the area. Everything was beautiful and I could see us going back to the area to experience more of what the town has to offer!"

  • Absolutely fabulous home to stay in!

"This is the third time we've stayed at Almost Paradise and we are planning on going back again! This time we met family from Florida and had plenty of space for all of us! The home is absolutely beautiful! It is decorated like a magazine! The home is spotless and the views are beautiful! You are about 10 minutes from Ingles grocery which has a wonderful staff of people. We went to 6 different waterfalls, Brasstown Bald and Alpine Helen. Some of the family went ziplining and had a great time. Marilyn and Richard are absolutely wonderful owners who just want everyone to enjoy their beautiiful home and the awesome North Georgia mountains! Thank you for letting us enjoy your gorgeous home!"
