  • FAMILY VACATION FOR 14

"Matthew's Manor was an ideal vacation rental for our Family Vacation!! Our family, ranging from 17 years of age to 79, enjoyed the lake activities (swimming, diving, boating) as well as the volley ball court and swimming pool. Jumping off the boathouse roof was a favorite! The house itself was magnificent and large enough to allow us to separate and do individual tasks such as read a book, view and send e-mails and enjoy the game room and gym. The family membeers in their 20's spent most of their time swimming in the lake and the pool and playing volleyball. The adventurous kayaked on the lake! We rented a party boat with a water slide for 4 hours and cruised the lake naturally using the water slide to slide into the water. What fun! Maurice was a wonderful resource during our stay. The house is also convenient to stores, movies, churches, etc. Everything about the property exceeded our expectations! Just one suggestion: some sort of railing going down to the boathouse and lake would be very helpful. We thank the Matthews for sharing their beautiful house with us. The care that they give to their property is very evident. We highly recommend this property for anyone who desires an enjoyable stay in Georgia!"

  • Perfect family get away

"We had an amazing time at the lake house! The house was beautiful. Spacious, well decorated in every corner, and packed with utilities and equipments that made our stay comfortable and convenient. Little things like towels, kitchen utensils, surplus amount of toilet paper, cooking spices, etc. Big things like canoes, hot tub, huge dock that you can jump off from, large deck with bbq grill, fire pit where you can make smores from, pool table, xbox, tv in each room, huge dining table and plenty of seating area. The house is located within a cove so there arent much boat traffic as well. There's a little sand area for kids too. Very zen and relaxing. The rooms are also spaced out that each room has privacy from each other. Big drive way too. Property manage Michelle was super nice and welcoming as well. Will be staying here next year again!"

  • Family Vacation

"My husband, our two grown children, their spouses and six grandkids spent a week in this fabulous home. The house was more than adequately stocked with everything we needed and more. Access to the boat dock was wonderful and we spent the first two days playing and fishing at the dock. One of our grandsons caught a four pound catfish from the dock so the rest of us spent lots of time trying to match or beat his catch (which none of us were able to do.) The house is fantastic and we had more than enough room for all twelve of us. We did not utilize the full kitchen downstairs because we found the main floor kitchen was more than large enough for our use. We all agreed that this was our best family vacation ever and we definitely want to do it again. The owners Mary and Dean are awesome and they responded immediately to all questions we had. If you're looking for a a relaxing and enjoyable family vacation this is the place to go!"

  • Relaxing Retreat

"Our group of ten cousins, all adults, got together for a reunion. We came from South Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and Maryland. The accommodations were perfect for simply relaxing, eating together, and having plenty of areas to gather and talk. Our favorite spot was the covered porch overlooking the lake where we ate all our meals. However, the bedding accommodations were more favorable for families with children than for a large group of older adults as traversing the four flights of stairs to reach all the accommodations was difficult for us. Likewise, the bunk beds and futon are not especially suited for our age group. Only two or three of our group were helthy enough to make the trek down to the lake dock (which they reported to be wonderful!). That being said, we were fully aware of the bedding accommodations at the time we rented. The rental price was a great value, the location was perfect, the accommodations afforded the peaceful atmosphere we were looking for, and our communication with the owner was always timely and helpful. Highly recommend."
