The property matched the description and met our expectations.
Overall, our group enjoyed staying here. It was the right size for nine adults, and the views and the house were beautiful.
It's about ten minutes to the nearest main road, about 15-20 minutes to the nearest grocery store, and about 20-30 minutes to the outlet mall. So it's more of a place you would go if you wanted to stay for a while and relax. The roads getting to the house are hilly and curvy, so it's not a quick drive to get out of the neighborhood. You could not comfortably park more than 3-4 cars in the driveway (no street parking - it's a one-way street).
One recommendation - make sure to bring the essentials if you are staying many nights or have a lot of people. We needed more toilet paper and paper towels. Additionally, we had to buy basics like laundry detergent and salt/pepper for the kitchen.
Finally, there is a small fenced area for dogs, which is great. However, there's not a lot of grass there (mostly leaves and dirt), and it also looks like there may have been leftover construction/renovation materials in that area, too. We did not feel comfortable leaving our dogs there unattended for any length of time. (FYI, you have to trigger the upstairs flood light on the patio next to the kitchen before you go outside in order to have light in the fenced area.)
From another tenant about the same stay:
"Beautiful scenery and walking places along the road and lake.
Would like a few more mixing bowls, measuring cups/spoons, and large casserole dishes.
Liked the kitchen and large countertop.
Would like to be able to raise the temperature a little higher - I think they only said no higher than 68?
Loved the basketball game downstairs.
Gated dog area trashy.
Nice large dining room table seated 9 easily. Would be nice to have more dish soap, laundry detergent, and paper towels, since we had to drive so far to get these items.""
