  • Wonderful time

"We stayed at this home and had a great time. Their were two grandparents, four adult children and four grandchildren (ages 4, 8, 11 & 15). The house was large enough for all of us and the 15 yr old granddaughter brought a friend and they stayed in the separate bedroom/apartment below the main house. All amenities were in the home and we only brought food and clothing. We all swam, tubed and jumped off the boathouse (all but grandmother). I would recommend the home to any that needed space for 10 people as there was ample space for all without getting in each others way."

  • A Special Family Cabin

"Three friends and I had the pleasure of staying in this cute, cozy mountain house for two nights last week. Two nights were not enough to do all of the canoeing, hiking and fishing we wanted to do! The cabin is well furnished and comfortable. We each had a bedroom with one friend sleeping on the screened porch. The large screened porch was wonderful with a large table that seats ten. The cabin has an interesting collection of family photos and mementos from a lifetime of enjoying summers at Lake Rabun. Don't miss hiking to Minnehaha Falls. Spectacular! A drink at the Lake Rabun Hotel would have been fun had it been open. I would recommend this cabin to anyone seeking a relaxing getaway! Thanks to Michael and Mary Jean for sharing their home!"

  • Relaxing Lake Stay

"My husband and I brought his parents on a lake getaway. This property was perfect! The house is well appointed and set in a calm cove. We spent most of our time sitting under the trees overlooking the lake. I can only imagine how beautiful it is here when the leaves change colors in the Fall. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals during our stay. It even has a choice of two outdoor grills! Clayton is close by, providing a choice of restaurants and charming shops. The owner made renting this house a breeze. I would definitely return!"

  • Large space for getaway

"My family, my best friend and her kids all stayed in this house for four nights in July. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out. There are basically two wings of the house with two bedrooms each. The kitchen was well equipped with anything you would need for meal prep. The pool table and the pinball machine were huge hits. I will warn you, however, that the house is not very toddler friendly. There are very steep stairs going down to the garage area and a beautiful (but not very safe) wrought iron spiral staircase going up to the balcony. There are huge open gaps in the railings and the balcony itself was very low. We just didn't let the kids up there and blocked off the stairways with furniture so the two-year old in our group wouldn't wander! There was plenty of space for our six kids in spite of this, though. The beauty of this unique home and the peaceful location were truly special!"
