  • A Special Family Cabin

"Three friends and I had the pleasure of staying in this cute, cozy mountain house for two nights last week. Two nights were not enough to do all of the canoeing, hiking and fishing we wanted to do! The cabin is well furnished and comfortable. We each had a bedroom with one friend sleeping on the screened porch. The large screened porch was wonderful with a large table that seats ten. The cabin has an interesting collection of family photos and mementos from a lifetime of enjoying summers at Lake Rabun. Don't miss hiking to Minnehaha Falls. Spectacular! A drink at the Lake Rabun Hotel would have been fun had it been open. I would recommend this cabin to anyone seeking a relaxing getaway! Thanks to Michael and Mary Jean for sharing their home!"

  • Ahhhhh!

"This was THE perfect place for a girlfriend birthday celebration!! We were worried about finding an unfamiliar place when arriving at dark, but the cabin was super easy to find off the main Hwy in town. Three bedrooms on three floors, each having their own balcony, was a great setup for us. The home had everything we needed for preparing our meals, and wine glasses for relaxing on the decks. We spent 95% of our time sitting on the deck overlooking the lake. We saw other beautiful homes across the lake, but they set a long way from the lake, whereas we felt like we were sitting right on top of the lake. It was very quiet and peaceful, even with the occasional boaters. The living area was plenty big enough for us to sit and visit when we did venture in from outside. There was a nice game room with a ping pong table, tv, and bar overlooking the lake, but we couldn't drag ourselves inside long enough to try it out. We had a very nice relaxing spa treatment at "Bodysense" Spa in town, which rated right up with ones we've had in larger cities. We picked up delicious BBQ and wine from local shops, and brought it back to the cabin, so we wouldn't need to get back out in the day. We wanted to spend as much time outside as we could. We've rented many cabins before, but we all commented none had been as relaxing as this one. We are already planning our next visit."

  • Big Fun!

"What a great cabin! The location is perfect, close to the town of Helen, there is a grocery store close by also. You can tube right from the back yard (you get out at Wildwood Outfitters). The cabin is well stocked and beautiful. We were all very comfortable, adults as well as kids. We enjoyed the hot tub after our workouts of "climbing the stairs." We also enjoyed the fireplace and the air hockey game downstairs. The owners were very responsive when I asked a question. I would highly recommend this cabin for river fun!"

  • The Hartwell Tree House Cottage was convenient to Downtown Hartwell and other travel destinations.

"Our overall experience was great! Although we didn't do a lot of cooking, there was plenty of cookware available. Both bedrooms were very comfortable with a nice size TV and Xfinity in the living room area. The home was clean and very well maintained and a bowl of snacks was left on the kitchen table with a welcome note, very thoughtful! As nature photographers, we travelled to the quaint city of Helen Georgia and then up to the Ana Ruby falls. Lots to see in North Georgia including old barns and scenic countryside. We would stay here again that's for sure!"
